You’re really consistant with your combos. You didn’t seem to ever mess up a juming combo string, that’s good. Good execution. When your opponent jumped back and ate that ultra… was that intentional or was that a wake up ultra oh my god I hope it hits? Either way, it landed, props!
I liked the consistance on your cross ups. I would say though, trying using the jK,cMK,Hadoken combo sometimes instead of always the tatsu. He was hitting you, not really punishing, on a few of your blocked tatsus. I do really enjoy this move though, great for getting out of the corner or messing around with fireball fights.
Over all, I liked your playing. Throws were good, pressure was good, execution was good. I would agree that developing a ground game would help. Use that FA man, it’s baaaaad ass! I noticed when you did land a FA, you did a LP,SRK. Try to f+HP, SRK. It does more damage and is probably easier to pull off actually. Other than that, keep on representing Ryu. Yeah on that Ultra i landed i knew he was going to jump back so i figure i could nail him with that Ultra. Yeah, ill try to put the cmk hadouken combo into my game more often. The tatsu combo though is really great if you land it it does great damage.
And yes, a ground game would improve my game massively i have a tendancy to jump a lot. haha… doesnt everyone?
The FA is indeed one of Ryu’s best tools, if i could bring that into my game more often i would definitely wreck harder.

Poongko needs to calm down he’s going to get killed at the world tournament if he tries to FA like that lol.
Well I do not know if he need to calm down or if he will be eaten alive playing like this, but one thing I know is that it’s sooooooooooo refreshing to finally see an agressive Ryu.
The more I was reading this forum, (and the more I played against others Ryu player), the more I though I was one of the only fools who were trying to play a (very) offensive Ryu.
From my view point, I think that this video against blanka is just like an “open bar”…it’s like if the blanka do not know how to guard or any armor break move…
But I can definitely see this guy use those “FA rush” in a more moderate way against someone who would wait for them…even use them as a bait could be possible with the level I see here.

I love his use of the FA, this with the cMK and f+HP make up Ryu’s poke / get inside and RTSD game. FA is one of my best friends as a Ryu player. Even if the FA lvl 1 is blocked, people seem too eager to counter usually and eat the follow up combo
