Shizuru (Mai Hime) - she has everything. on the surface, a perfect and nice student council president, under the surface a psycho lesbian with a giant spear and a hydra/squid robot companion. That scene where you first get a taste of what’s to come, where Shizuru touches Natsukis hair as she sleeps… That’s epic anime moment right there.

Sorry man, I don’t frequent these boards much and when I do I honestly don’t skim through the posts as most threads like this jump by 20 pages or more while I’m away. Either way, yes, we are talking about the same footage.
The girl with the glasses is not Asuka, but instead Mari, the pilot of Eva Unit 05. She’s piloting Asuka’s Eva Unit 02 in the battle against the Angel Zeruel as Asuka was left in a comatose state from a prior conflict.
I personally had very few gripes with the OG series, but agree that everything they have done so far with the Rebuild films is taking the Evangelion series to a level that is simply divine. I can not wait to get my hands on a full length version of this film.
In those last 26 minutes alone I can tell you that 2.0 takes everything that made 1.0 amazing and goes to the next level with it. If you have the will-power to wait it out for the DVD release then more power to you. Just know that in this spoiler there’s so much new material and takes on things that I highly doubt it’ll ruin the rest of the film for you.
Hands down, those final 26 minutes of the film were the most epic 26 minutes of animation I’ve seen to date. Holy shit.
I’ve really got my fingers crossed for that Zenken. I’ll watch the whole film raw if need be, but if someone manages to get their hands onthe German film festival version of the film I’m going to be all over it.
I did hear that, and I believe it’s slated for an American DVD release in November as well. Best believe I’ll be picking that up first day despite the fact I’ve already watched that film at least 10 times already.

“Tengen Toppa: Guy that presses button” – fucking ATTENBOROUGH?! He is one of my most hated characters ever.
Rena is probably the least crazy of the Higurashi girls, but all of the Higurashi girls were batshit crazy.
I was thinking about Yoshimori too, but the thing I like (or liked) best about Kekkaishi was the relationship between him and his brother. As a character, and as a series as a whole, it just doesn’t move quickly enough.
Kisara is good, but most of the girls in Kenichi are all about equally good (except for that shitty Miu).
Aoi from Beelzebub? The main character is awesome, but Aoi has only had five chapters so far. I mean I like her too, but top-tier already?
And considering how good most of the cast of Bleach is-- Orihime? Really? She isn’t the worst female lead but damn, she hasn’t done much. Maybe I’m just biased because of the current arc which has been a non-stop fight for the past two fucking years.
I don’t recognize anyone on Yin’s list 'cept Zabuza, Utena and Griffith.
I could go on and on about how much I hate Utena, but Zabuza was one of my favourites for a while, and also a badass, but Griffith over Guts is acceptable, because pretty much everyone (except that horrible girl that joined their crew) in Berserk is awesome.
Spirit, you are my only remaining hope.
Guts is of course awesome too, but I like the story and development of Griffith more :rock:
Her insanity isn’t the main draw for me. It’s mainly when she has her senses that gets me.

Everybody else is so damn boring. Yeah, she hardly contributes anything to the fights(which I’m starting to not care about) but at least she actually has something going on. Everybody in the manga is always trying to be cool, and it worked for a while but now it’s just dull. I actually disliked Orihime at the beginning but then I saw the surfacing of her strong feelings for Ichigo. And the kiss that almost happened sealed it for me.
I agree with the following. Ironically enough, both characters jobbed out when they really would have owned the hell out of their opponents (especially Teresa, my god did she ever job).
Oh, and minor edit, you meant Priscilla when you referred to a “cheating shitbag”. :lol: And the funny thing is, Pris is now fast becoming one of my favorites now that she’s on the “no-kill” lifestyle.
