yeah thats what I’m doing , I’m not a fan of reading manga though , flipping through black and white pics that u cant even see whats happening on them sometimes doesnt really appeal to me
:bgrin:
bleh , i dont even know what Animes are those figurines from
I must admit, I havn’t read it. Maybe I should… It seems kinda good.
Like the Simpsons, she seems to have become worse lately. I did not care for Inu-Yasha at all, in fact the first volume was so boring I never touched the series again. And the new one seems equally boring.
Ranma was good, in fact it was my first manga ever, but it has like more than double the volumes of Ikkoku and I think the formula gets a bit thin.
It seems like our friend Kobayashi has missed one of them.
Ok maybe that was a little harsh, but that kinda talk is creepy.
Neither have I, but as I can recall, Chibi’s been going on and off about this series for quite a bit and has gotten me interested in picking it up sometime.
Obligatory subs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>(and so on) dubs post.
Re: Manga recommendations for Stabby… Nausica is fantastic. Not sure if that’s manly enough for you…
And Jojo is pretty manly
And there’s no manga more manly than Berserk.
There’s a big chance you’ve already read those though.
[details=Spoiler] Man, that did suck what happened to Panties. And the way it went down with him being crammed into a gutter was almost up there with the death that occurred in episode 10 of Ride Back, with unnecessarily brutal death for a harmless side character.
Those two Selecaos are definitely up to no good, but jeez, no way will see all the remaining Selecaos or what they are doing at this rate, even with a movie. Damn, I wonder why they went with making this series just 11 episodes and a movie (equivalent of 2.5 episodes), was it all to maintain the animation quality or did someone not think it was worth the money for more then a 13 episodes? [/details]
Its bigger than than subs being better than dubs. The idea of watching Naruto/Bleach/One Piece in English ignites every fiber of my elitist otaku rage and has me bursting at the seams of my dirty sweatpants and has my hands trembling, sweating with anger over my keyboard.
Also Stabby: Read Lucifer and the Buiscuit hammer, Mysterious Girlfriend X. Change 123, Kodomo No Jikan. HayateXblade, AIKI, Cynthia the Mission, My balls, **Vagabond **
Takahashi is still my favorite manag-ka. Her style is subtly distinct from everyone else’s. I love the faces and poses her characters make, and even some of the wording is funny.
I never got into Inu Yasha, but i was really into Urusei Yatsura, Ranma, and the Mermaid series. Maison Ikkoku and the rest are good as well. They aren’t too serious, but they also aren’t TOO cutesy. Most of her work represents a happy medium for me.
Ranma is still my favorite.
I’m not a shojou fan, but sometimes, that stuff is more mature than some seinen and most (if not all) shounen and loli stuff.
Like Gantz, I understand from all the blood and motion lines something very violent is happening, I’m just not sure how.
Berserk usually is pretty clear because you can see whatever it is getting cut in half as horrified, topless women look on.
