The Anime and Manga Thread v.3: Read the 1st post for FAQ, tips and chatroom details!

Just finshed basquash 9 and I come here ready to say how fucking awesome it was and the 4 posts above already said it. Tits, destroy, the singing, hell even the actual basquash action was fucking good.

hopes the DVD version is uncensored

hahah fo reals thats what i was like!

also, i never knew sela’s hair was long like that. Or maybe i just wasn’t paying attention enough…either way that’s dope. I like sela :stuck_out_tongue:

In general I’m liking the characters more now than I was starting out. The show is getting really fun.

Haha, I knew you’d pick the show up! I reccomended it to you a few pages back, not sure if you saw that since the thread goes fast. Now the question is: Kaya, Arashi or both? :lovin:

Hey, I still love the show. Just that 9 felt a bit flat. The responses for the epsiode did cause my avatar change though.

The OP has a nice listing of both genres; but lemme reccomend to you Azumanga Daioh (which likely you have seen it), Hidamari Sketch, Sketchbook Full Colors and Aria (all the series).

S-s-stupid K-on it’s not like I’m watching it because I enjoy it or anything. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also yeah the Asuza cake thing was funny, very tempted to make a gif of it lol.

I like Arashi’s personality, and well the girl’s got a delicious pair of T & A.

^___________^

True on both accounts. :lovin: I’m loving how she’s always optimistic despite how she is and what she went through. Helps that her voice is pretty sweet as well (interestingly enough, she also shares the same voice actress as your main in Tekken 6 - Asuka.)

Arashi’s one of the most charming chars in a while.

Ha, the Princess loving Eclipse was funny. Her going on and on about them in the end was extra cute.

BASKASH.

Um, no, not really. K-ON suffers from over-abuse/exploitation of moe stereotypes. You know how Family Guy stops being funny because they overplay jokes by 10 minutes? K-ON’s like that–they’re abusing moe jokes until it kills the entire show.

The only reason why I still watch is because they have so many music references–although not as many as a show based on music ought to have. How cool is it that they’re using a Marshall MG Series solid state amp (even though those amps suck)? Or the fact that Yui learning guitar for the first time rapes her fingers because she doesn’t have calluses?

I dig these music references because I can relate to them. Comedy surrounding them is funny, because it’s true. But whenever the show starts abusing moe situational comedy (which is often), everything starts going downhill.

Watched Kannagi 14 a bit earlier.

Kannagi 14

Spoiler

Whoa, what’s with the weird looking art in the beginning of the episode? Though, the first moment Nagi spoke with that look during the movie the gang tried to made, I chuckled aloud for a bit.

Loved that part near the end where they decided to send back the DVD and pay the late fees. Especially how it turned out in the end with both Jin and Nagi having no money to pay for it.

Gintama 111’s 2nd half with Kagura and the umbrella was rather charming. Totally compensates the sheer weirdness of Azumi from the 1st part.

Arashi episode 9 actually got a bit serious…

I really am curious about what role Kanako and Yayoi will play now.

O seven apples on a witch’s tree
With seven seeds to plant inside of me
In springtime I grew a magic song
Then skipping along, oh I sang the song to everyone

I looked at the world through apple eyes
And cut myself a slice of sunshine pie
I danced with the peanut butterflies
Till time went and told me to say hello but wave goodbye

A thousand sugar stars
Oh put them in a jar
And then whistle round the world
Oh whistle round the world
I’m a little wolf inside a girl, you say
And off I’ll go from June to May
Oh whistling round the world

I met a golden swan upon the road
Who was a handsome prince, so I was told
I asked it the way to yesterday
Then I was a sailor, and through the day I sailed away

Bluebird seas I sailed
With mermaids riding whales
Oh whistle round the world
Oh whislte round the world
I’m a little wolf inside a girl, you say
And off I’ll go down Wonder Way
Oh whistling round the world

Through apple eyes
Oh there are rose-coloured skylines
Where flying silver spoons
Eat melting marmalade moons

Through apple eyes
I see for millions of miles
The sun’s a diamond shining
In the nighttime of a summer day

A thousand sugar stars
Oh put them in a jar
And then whistle round the world
Oh whistle round the world
I’m a little wolf inside a girl, you say
And off I’ll go (I can not stay)
Oh whistling round the world
Let’s whistle round the world
Whistle round the world~

Heh… I too can hardly wait for the next season of Spice and Wolf to start airing regularly.

LOL.

That was a catchy song.

In other news I’m so fucking in love with Natsu no Arashi.

Easily my favorite show this season. It’s fantastic.

On episode 6 now.

Can’t wait for Spice and Wolf 2 this summer.

Looks like Shana’s getting another anime. Not quite sure if I should be excited or not.

…Unless it’s a full fledged Shana-tan series. :bgrin:

Woah JC staff sure been on the ball recently, can’t wait!

(Also on the subject of JC staff, is anyone else looking forward to that To aru majutsu no index spin off they’re doing?)

both good news in my book.

I’m hype for another Shana series if 20 out of the 24 episodes aren’t filler bullshit.
