i tried really hard not to like onani master. i mean after certain select scenes in the first few chapters i was all :wtf: for a while. however since i didnt have anything better to do during lunch break i ended up reading the whole thing anyways and im glad i did. only in japan do you get a manga about … that, and have it be a deep and engaging story.

ok not really
but for a character who does what he does kurosawa is surprisingly likeable. more likeable than say, the entire cast of k-on or this season’s haruhi.
to be honest though i was laughing during some of the parts that were supposed to be emotionally charged or “heavy”. like i found it really fucking funny instead of sad like youre supposed to. in theory people laugh when theyre uncomfortable though so go psychoanalyze that
one gripe i had at the beginning was the art (the girls are cute, but they all uh, look the same), eventually things sorted themselves out though.
i agree fap note isnt really a good name for it, it would have to be a lot darker for the death note comparison to make sense.

i think its actually better that its not that person. getting with you know who (ugh typing this outside a spoiler tag is worse than a harry potter movie) was random but a good kind of random.
At times it really gives me that empty, “School Days” feeling. For the most part, my sentiments are aligned with Kurosawa’s so it makes me feel really evil. The jealousy I’m feeling through him is intense.
So thats why I couldn’t see it anywhere online I actualy thought it was called fap note.

Looking at the Mecha list, I’m surprised there’s no Koutetsushin Jeeg. 13 Episodes, but it was a fun series. So uh, anyone else disappointed with Umineko yet? Ripped some soundclips from it to make as micspam, but god damn Maria’s VA is doing one hell of a good job. Also, E7-Pockets Full of Rainbows is out, but it’s debatable if it’s worth wasting 4 gigs to torrent it or see it in theatres on Sept 26.
the E7 movie has been fansubbed for quite a while. I have it DLed but I STILL HAVEN’T WATCHED IT, shame on me =/
Regardless, I already know I’m going to get it on DVD/blu-ray/whatever. I love the show too much not too
same here, i want to watch it on my ps3, but streaming it crashes the stream program(Tversity), when i try to encode it to a compatible ps3 format, it says incompatible sub format…so…wtf? is there really no way for me to watch this on my ps3? i would prefer watching it on a 32 inch HDTV then on my 17 in monitor…
Try using alltoavi and then using another program to convert it to ps3 format, tends to work for most stuff as long as there are no shennanigans with subtitles calling out stuff on signs in the background taking the space where people talking should be. (looking at Zan Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei here)

Anyone else watching Saki? After reading a few impressions and getting a few preview pics of later episodes I was all like “Magical girl show?”. Then I caught the first episode and I loved it! “A mahjong anime that’s super over the top with Magical girl elements! Awesome”, I thought. I’m at the 3rd episode and the mahjong isn’t as epic as I thought it would be.
And I just can’t get past the ridiculousness that are Nodoka’s breasts. She’s completely illogically proportioned! This is par for the course for a lot of anime, but it’s driving me nuts! Some anime characters have ridiculous boobs, but at least they look natural (Matsumoto from Bleach). Nodoka looks like she has breast implants as a high school freshmen!
Later episodes look awesome, but does anyone here think it’s worth it? Just looking for something to watch online that’s legal and decent (and recent) for a change.

Maria Ross is actually dead.
With my complete boredom and with checking out the gif Riot Soul posted yesterday, the OP posted by Yin and the recommendation by Chibi; I gave Maria+Holic a try and currently on episode 6.
Surprisingly enough, it didn’t have that much yuri than I expected it to be. It helped that it’s actually pretty funny! The only problem I have with the show up to now is: Not enough Matsurika. I like how she’s an asshole most of the time with her responses.

Mari gets better and better in my eyes with her helpful attitude and optimisim. Seems like the devastation caused by the earthquake isn’t quite over yet (including taking down a bridge and a tower); and both siblings almost lost each other twice. They’re pretty lucky in having an adult figure such as Mari being around to help them in such a situation.
Valkyria Chronicles 17

Dammit, just when Isara and Rosie were patching things up; Isara gets shot. =/ A good amount of character development went through this episode, while Welkin is STILL doing nothing about his situation with Alicia. Man should get on with it quick already, because Faldio’s been doing his darnedest already.
