pretty sure rubberband was always there lol. that might be the only “issue” with launcher8 if any at all.

but I noticed its only when the screen isn’t full with icons. mine only goes up if I scroll upward but comes back down automatically.

Noob question, do you need to root to do that

^ nope lol…its the easiest custom laucher. there are bunch of themes you can just download or make your own.

yo what was that program u clowns were using to get random sounds for your incoming text messages? I remember you guys discussing a few, and mentioning the best of them.

Shuffletone 3.0

Saved me a lot of frustration! Thanks

My battery doesn’t last for shit.

Shuffletone is limited atm, it only works for your calls/texts and not anything else. Supposedly the guy who made that app is working on a better one with more customization, but that was like a year ago. I believe the Tasker app requires root, and it costs a couple bucks, but if you get familiar with it you can do a ton of stuff for your phone. I don’t use Shuffletone anymore.

Here’s an example. Excuse the noise from football, lol. Also my theme I been playing with using the same launcher as snake:

So I currently have my tones set for incoming notifications from my text, fb messenger, hangouts, and gmail apps.

G4 randomly corrupting pics after taking on SD card, if I reset the phone the next set of pics will be fine.

Do I break the phone or toss the card?

Try a different card.

From what i understood when reading about how Android handles memory a while back, there is no need to use a ‘cleaning’ app to free up Ram. Android will automatically free up the ram you require, closing unused apps as needed, to meet demand.

But when you’re not doing anything? It’ll reload those frequently used apps and other programs it thinks you like, and keep them in memory for fast access.

It’s not like a windows comp. Where unused programs will just ‘sit’ in memory indefinitely, clogging things up, until you go and close them out (or the comp crashes first from low ram).

In this way, Android handles ram BETTER than windows.

I got 6.0 on my Nexus 7 last week. Performance gains is night and day. Don’t care for much of the new features outside of app data finally being synced/backed up to the cloud. Better battery and memory management too.

Pretty much everything Lollipop should’ve been.

Gotta disagree on the reloading part, at least for myself. If I have any applications running and I minimize them, they’ll stay at the exact same point in time. Although it may differ for other devices. As you already pointed out, it does handle RAM way better than Windows, mind you.

Oh, and if you guys enable developer options you can customise how background apps work. It’s definitely something you should check out.

PS, Blackberry Priv SUCKS.

Buy an Xperia device, problem solved

Don’t forget that the app data backup is up to the developer to include (but AFAIK it’s done automatically as soon as the app is targeting Marshmallow’s API level 23, so basically they only need to release an compatibility update)

There’s really not much to customize other than the number of background processes (opened apps) Android can keep at a time

Somehow my phone is full, so it’s going slower than it should be, Note 4. Only 700 mb left. Now the battery keeps instantly draining and I have no idea which app it is. Going from 88% in the gym, not using it except twice to write my progress and leaving the gym = 12% and then dead. It’s definitely the app and not the battery cause when I turn data off, it lasts the whole day.

Install GSAM Battery Monitor or BetterBatteryStats or Wakelock Detector to track down the culprit. Most likely it’s some background app fucking your phone app (Facebook is known for this, for example)

Thanks. I’ve been using Clean Master’s booster but it doesn’t really help.

Didn’t I tell you to delete that shit? There’s your problem

how the hell do you disable google gayass voice? When I use headphones on my phone it goes nutz!!!
