I wasn’t expecting it to be this nice. so far running everything smooth too. dual speaker and 8000mah battery sealed the deal for me. highly recommended but wait for the sale on newegg. I often see it for 200 but usually cost 250.

I’m thinking about buying the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 just wifi version and the reason is cuz I’m impressed by the sensitive stylus pen technology its rocking.
I plan on using the tablet for one single purpose which is artwork. drawing and painting etc etc on it.
I like the ultra fine point of the stylus and and the sensitivity of the touchscreen to the stylus.
so my question to anyone out there in SRKland who happens to have this Note 8.0…
how impressed are you by the responsiveness of the stylus pen to the screen?

Got dat note 4. Coming from a note 3 the upgrade is subtle. It’s still a super sweet phone though. Got it mostly for the camera upgrade.
Note 4 worth the upgrade from the 2? I hate going on contract, especially since I plan on moving to another country within the year but oh well. My other options would be a Nexus 6 or an I… I… I… iPhone 6+.

Looks like I’ll have to upgrade regardless. My note 2 randomly stopped charging and there seems to be no signs of problems with it (USB is fine, no water damage, etc). I was going to do it today since I actually need my phone, I have a BlackBerry too but that’s not working either, and I gave my iPhone away. Been asked to wait until Monday, ugh…

I woke up today and decided to buy/download NBA2k14 from the google play store just to have a good decent game on my Note 8.0
When I typed in NBA2k14 on the Playstore search bar nothing came up!
I was like WTF? I just saw the game not even 2 weeks ago when I first got the tablet.
so I used my pc to try to search for it but nope.
Seems like 2K Games decided to take down the game.

and before you guys claim me seeing 2k Games NBA2k14 offered on the play store was only a figment of my imagination…
if that isn’t bad enough I tried to download Sumioni the game and the play store stated the game, which was originally a psp vita game, wasn’t compatible with my device!

I don’t know. But I checked to see if I could still watch cable tv using the Optimum app and lo and behold I can still watch TV on my tablet so…wtf man?
The Optimum app allowing me to watch tv on my tablet is like the least compatible app on the playstore…so I’m really mindfucked as to why Sumioni wont download on my tablet.

Note 3 has a pretty good camera already, you’re telling me it’s a good upgrade?
The image stabilization helps for low light photos. If youre happy with the note 3 you it probably isn’t worth it to upgrade unless you can get a good deal on the 4.
i still prefer my lg g3. The fuck do I need a stylus for, since that seems to be the reason for the extra costs? Camera is barely better than mine (3mp difference is kinda nice, but not that impressive, and image stabalization with laser focus is a feature on the g3), could care less. If I wanted to pay extra for a phone, because of a camera, I would have got an HTC One M8. Screen isn’t noticably bigger compared to my g3 (0.2 inch difference) to matter. My phone weighs less too. Screen and resolution is better on the g3 as well, with much better pixel density. Speakers on the G3 dwarf the note 4. And the Note 4 has absolutely zero water protection, so that fucker is just waiting for an half ass accident to ruin it.
You’re literally ONLY paying extra money for the stylus. Multitasking is a little better done on it, but I feel the screen is hard as fuck to read and interact with, when u start trying to have more than 2 windows open at once. Extra processor power is nice, but yet again, not enough of an improvement over what I got, to justify the increased price.
And that’s EXACTLY why I bought a Note 8.0!

lol, its more than that though. Notes use Wacom technology. Or at least something like it. The screen is capacitive but not entirely.
There’s pressure sensitivity…probably more the tip of the stylus than the actual screen…and you don’t even need to make contact with the screen using the stylus. Just hovering it over and the screen recognizes the tip…ala proximity-ware.
But its the precision and control of line with the stylus that makes it beastly.
Most touchscreens suck for doing drawing, sketching and painting. The Note is unmatched for drawing & sketching. Only thing that comes close are Wacom tablets. It feels very close to using an actual pencil to paper. I kid you not. almost perfect precision and control of line. Plus the stylus point is fine point and not dull and bulbous like common stylus pens which feels weird as fuck trying to make fine lines.
I’m 1000% happy with my Note 8
Best purchase I ever made. but then again I’m an artist. if I wasn’t I would rather have a different tablet like the Sony Xperia Z
