Depends on what you mean by organize. You can select one or multiple files (with Shift key if Windows) and edit everything you’d need to edit from the More menu on the upper-right if using the GM online site.
I know this may be a really dumb question but I just need to know. Will there EVER be some sort of controller usb dock add-on for droid 4’s like mine? Playing stuff like Sonic CD is a pain in the ass on a touch screen. Is there a way I can at least use the slide out keyboard or something?
Also the 4G LTE is basically useless on this because it rarely even shows it on my phone. Most of the time it’s 3G. And why is stuff like gmail on your phone basically have NO way to logout of? Plus the whole google wallet thing and them storing your cc info and you don’t have to login at all when making a purchase after that. Bear in mind I just got the Droid 4 and still looking around online learning about it. And yeah clearing cache/data doesn’t log you out of gmail on my phone.
Hmm…did they just get you the option to edit? I don’t remember seeing that feature at ALL (now I wished I didn’t clean out my files…shit will take a month to put back)
Yeah I didn’t see it at all months back either. I was reorganizing my files offline and decided to wipe everything off GM and reupload them.
The edit feature makes it pretty much perfect now.
Is it worth upgrading from the Galaxy Nexus to the Galaxy S3 or should I just wait for the next Nexus line?
i have a gnex and personally plan on waiting for the quad-core version of the S3
Thats exactly what I did cause the GNEX radios are fuckin’t horrible. With the S3 I have 4G at my office where the GX didn’t get ANYTHING.
Ain’t the quad-core S3 only available in the international version due to the processor that’s being used (different from the U.S. version)?
Quad core processors don’t play nice with LTE radio (yet).
edit: I take that back. http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/05/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-lte-korea-launch-date-july-9th/
Don’t know when we’ll see these stateside… If I had to guess this would probably be the “update” that the Nexus gets if Samsung makes the next one.
- anyone manually upgraded a Optimus 2X to ICS? I’m scared to try it.
I think even to manually upgrade you’d still be guided through LG Downloader software. Shouldn’t be harder than rooting, that’s for sure.
First android with the galaxy note an the battery life is horrible on ICS. I’ve lost 20% in the last 45 minutes - hour just using tapatalk. .that can’t be right. Just charged it too. Kinda wish i had held out for the s3 as i hear that has better battery life.
Would rooting improve the battery life?

Rooting itself won’t.
Rooting and flashing to a better ROM might.
Zero 4G issues here. The ONLY complaint I have with my Galaxy Nexus is the battery life…like all smartphones basically.
So I manage my power when I’m not using it by disabling WiFi and 4G…gives me roughly 30% more power. I did buy a spare battery and its a lifesaver/game changer.
I played with the SG3 here at work and its pretty sick, definitely a step up from the 2. Not digging the touchwiz bloatware crap though…pure goggle android or gtfo seriously.
Try to download this app, it’s a battery usage monitor.
Can I get some details as to what your device uses? Such as:
Do you have a live wallpaper?
Are you using WiFi or 3G?
Do you close your apps after using them, or do you just load up another app without killing the previous one?
Are you playing music whilst on Tapatalk?
The screen display, is it always on? And do you have it set at maximum brightness?
Hey Intuitive,
Brightness set to 50% an screen setting on 'standard '. One of the first things i messed with. Downloaded that app, 58% of the battery usage is going towards the screen.
No wifi or gps, both turned off if Im not using them. Just using the mobile internet. No live wall papers an no music at all. Typically i use the phone for utube, tapatalk and browsing the net. Im always quite mindful of leaving apps open so i try to use the task manager an recent apps to close things. Just feels like the battery drives ridiculously fast, which is annoying cos its like " look at all the things i can do…oh wait low battery ".
Also the screen display times out after a minute or so, if that’s what u mean?

The nexus had shit battery life and even worse radio reception. Where I would rarely get a signal at work, with the S3 I get 4G. Battery life I can make it the whole weekend using the phone just for small things where the nexus was a few hours tops

Maybe you got a dud, there were some early reports of some devices with antenna issues. Of the 5 or so users we have using the Nexus nobody (myself included) have had any irregular 4G reception issues compared to other devices. However, the 4G is strong in Chicago ha.
Nexus battery IS total shit, thats why I carry a spare if needed and actively manage it. Takes about 30 seconds to swap out. I can basically go a full day with very minimal use if needed.
The SG3 battery is what, 1750mAh vs 2100mAh? Definitely better but not by much although the SG3 does use power more efficiently. My friend upgraded from the Nexus to the SG3 and its still a power hog if you actually use it. About 30% better or something…
All weekend with no charge on the SG3? I doubt it…
With heavily modified kernel, voltages, clocks ,and no screen time essentially, 2+ days is possible.
