There have been refugees from every major world conflict. All of them. Everyone that’s not a native is an immigrant that came out at some point due to some reason, many of them left Europe following war. Where I live there are a considerable amount of Vietnamese who came out after the Vietnam war. People used to say the EXACT same thing you’re saying about them but it wasn’t terrorism, it was communism. They were saying how you couldn’t trust the Vietnamese because they’re communist spies that are coming to infiltrate us and cause unrest and they’ll destroy society. You can take all of the arguments against Syrian refugees and you’ll see it’s paraphrasing the same thing that has been said time and time again throughout history.
