The Ameяican Government Thread

And you think reasonable Republicans won’t be voting Gary Johnson? It’s not just the Democratic party that’s splintered.
This year could be the 1st time where people might actually vote for who they agree with instead of voting to keep the other team out.

The ideology of the Libertarian Party is fundamentally incapable with reality and they are no more worth voting for than the GOP or the Democrats.

Lol thats entirely my point bro.

Voting for independents is only going to reduce the pool of votes that are going towards the Dem/Rep nominees.

You arent really teaching anyone a lesson by being a 3rd party voter this election because theres no chance Jill Stein or Gary Johnson will win meanwhile theres a VERY good chance DJT will.

And yes the larger number of votes for both 3rd party candidates might be a small win for those individual factions but its not really going to do any good while we still have the same two-party structure.

If anything this implodes both sides (wishful thinking) and opens up the possibility of more candidates with varying stances in the future but AGAIN…what good is any of this going to do us with Donald Trump in office?

I’m sorry, I don’t vote for blatantly exposed corruption. It’s not about making a point, it’s about voting for who I believe better aligns with my values. Hillary isn’t that person, neither is Trump. And I will not be shamed to vote out of fear of one or the other getting elected, because that’s exactly what both sides are saying.

Weird shit going on here.

Third parties don’t need to win, they need to win 5% of the national vote to be eligible for federal funding and be treated more serious in the future. Its worth up to 96 million dollars in funds. Green Party I think raised less than a million, so they could totally use that money.

Major Parties opt out of the funds, because using those funds means you can’t raise any more money, and they can raise more on their own. (At least I think thats how this works)

Also, I don’t think the fear tactic works as well on Liberals as conservatives. You can’t scare me into hating immigrants, and you can’t scare me into voting for somebody I don’t really expect to be the best person for the job.

The only healthy longterm option for our country is to break free of the 2 party system, which has to start somewhere

The experience argument… which would qualify Hitler.

Bernie supporters and Liberals I often like and respect even if they are wrong, Hillary voters are either dumb as a brick or in denial about her corruption and are okay with it.

If your in denial here’s some crayons have fun and please don’t throw snack packs at the ceiling.

If your an apologist find a NA meeting, Jesus or whatever works because you are a bad person, who probably apologizes for pimps, charlatans, and all kinds ilk and I hope Trump is as bad as your worst nightmare because you are truly a horrible person, I hope he puts you in a Camp may your potential rape victims run fast.

Seriously, find some morality.

you are the cancer that kills what was once the greatest nation on earth.

eh heh heh heh heh heh
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

man this election season is a fucking riot to watch. This is fucking hilarious.

HIllary lies when she doesn’t even have to which is the mark of a sociopath. All the stuff about Chelsea supposedly running around Ground Zero on 9/11, her being named after Edmund Hillary, being in a chopper that was supposedly under fire…none of those are things she NEEDED to lie about. Every politician lies at some point, but she makes a regular thing of it, even when it isn’t necessary.

She’s asking us to let her take the oath of office after she’s already broken it, she’s compromised national security with those “personal” emails, she’s purposefully absconded with millions that was supposedly earmarked for state campaigns, and basically undermined the democratic process at every turn in a desperate attempt to become president, and you still want to say she’s qualified? The only, and I mean THE ONLY, positive to her getting elected would be her Supreme Court nomination, and I’m sure that will get held up. She represents everything we’ve been trying to put behind us, everything that we’ve tried that hasn’t worked. She is NOT the “lesser of two evils” here.

It’s getting less funny by the day, this is why we have a 10th amendment. Half the country was never intended to be subjected to leadership they despise and in case it happened it was minimized by said 10th amendment.

The “narrative”? I agree the Republican party is going the wrong way, but there’s plenty of reason to distrust her, and shame on you for either lying or being willfully ignorant. Want a reason? Here’s five:

  1. Her record. As you mentioned, she’s been shifty on criminal justice, PP, and LBGTQ rights. There’s also, you know, the Iraq war and NAFTA. She consistently winds up on the wrong side of history. A lot of people have reason to dislike her on that alone. While Trump does the same thing, good judgement is supposed to be a key part of Hillary’s platform, yet she clearly lacks it.

  2. Her taxes/finance connections. She has refused to release her taxes and has some troubling ties to the financial sector. For someone who needs to overcome a stigma of corruption, she’s very hesitant to release her tax forms. Why? Donald Trump hasn’t released his, and it’s only hurting him unless there’s something in there that is actually bad. Clinton should have been able to jump on this opportunity to be the better person and show voters that she’s transparent. Why wouldn’t she? Then we get into the whole Wall Street thing that Sanders brought up, emphasized, and it still got swept under the rug. Not answered, as the god damn transcripts were never released, but swept under the rug and ignored. Not a good look.

  3. Her charity. The Clinton Foundation has been under scrutiny by the fucking IRS. If Trump University is a talking point, this sure as hell is too. The foundation is seen by many as one of the biggest “pay-to-play” operations in American politics, and as little as 10% of the money could be going to its intended purpose. This isn’t even getting into the Cheryl Mills/Teneo part, either. That’s a pretty damn big issue, and her being so evasive on the subject speaks volumes.

  4. Her involvement with Haiti. Forget Benghazi, this is the steaming turd of her tenure as SoS. She was supposed to be America’s driving force in rebuilding Haiti, but after years of “rebuilding” the country is still in shambles. Some digging around reveals that the contracts were assigned to some companies which happened to be major donors to the Clinton Foundation at the time.

  5. Her power play within the DNC. Clinton has had a disturbingly effective political machine behind her in the DNC, the leaks have only made this more obvious. First off, where were the other Democrats? You mean to tell me Hillary was the only major Democrat to consider running for president in 2016? I have a hard time believing that Reid, Warren, and Biden all lack the ambition to mount a presidential bid. You had Webb, Chafee, and O’Malley, who were all basically redheaded stepchildren of the Democratic party. Even from the outset, you had suspicions of collusion. Then the primary season continued on, and some very strange things were happening. A series of coin flips in Iowa all turned up Clinton. Delegates had to be recounted later in Nevada, all of whom went to Sanders. In New York, voters claimed that the system was set up to be willfully obtuse in order to thwart Sanders supporters, many of whom were newcomers to the primary process. Party insiders used the superdelegate system to inflate her into a lead before a single ballot was cast. This year’s Democratic primary contained multiple perversions of democracy, which Clinton refused to comment on. Building off all of this, Clinton takes Debbie Wasserman-Schultz onto her campaign mere hours after she resigns from the DNC in light of leaked information, which could only mean she looked at all of this and thought DWS was doing a good job.

That’s 5 reasons, none of them involving Benghazi (which isn’t on her) and the emails (which is DEFINITELY on her, but investigated to death already). Hillary Clinton isn’t a progressive, she’s a puppet. She’s not as bad as Trump; she’s far, far worse. You can look at Trump, tell why he’s wrong, and move on. Clinton does all of her dirty deeds behind closed doors, and would only use the presidency to further her own aims. What’s the worst thing Trump has done? Tore down a few houses? Hurt some people’s feelies? Hillary has literally accepted bribes from dictators, abused government power, and made the world a worse place because of her actions in Egypt. I’ll take a blowhard over insipid cancer any day. Fuck outta here.

After the ongoing shitshow that is the DNC, other than the paid Hillary bots, I don’t understand how anyone could seriously support this candidate.

Eh. Suit yourselves. Not supporting the political party that has the majority of Americans best interests in mind is kinda goofed.

I cant really be righteous and pick apart someones 30 year political career without seeing the bigger picture. I was kinda lost by the time someone compared Hillary to Hitler. When the uprising of white supremacy following Trumps election will be a lightening rod to progressive society.

Hows the view up there on your platitude? define best interests? Define American for that matter. White supremacy is already on the uptick, because Liberals call everything racist, and if they don’t knock their shit off it will continue expect more militancy.

My Co-workers had a police shooting on conference monitor the other day snickering.

Every time I see people screaming about racism to people that aren’t the slightest bit racist I think of this video;

You are creating your own monster.

Democrats are fantastic for black communities, look at all the great cities they have ran for the last 50 years Chicacgo, Philly, Detroit, Baltimore you know every black inner-city ghetto in the country.

It’s true Republicans don’t care about blacks, they don’t vote Republican so aren’t in their constituency so next time you blame the man remember it’s a Democrat.

Giulliani cut that shit off in 8 years, Democrats have been screwing around with Chicago since the 60’s.

Bill Maher’s writer put this up.

I wonder where the black community thinks Hillary is going to put all the Syrians and Mexicans because black people should know better than to think they are going next to the white people. And if they think white people are racist wait till they get a real dose of Mexico.

Old school black neighborhoods in California with multi-million dollar price tags, black family’s didn’t get to sell those houses or stay in them they were taxed out by liberals for pennies on the dollar.
