And how is that different? The first one is a law in some US states, the second one is a law in some muslim countries. That’s all, there is to say: It’s a law. One may sound ridiculous to us, but that’s none of our concern, als long as it is that other country. If people from said country try to make this law stick in our country, THATs, where we draw the line.
There is no burning desire. Truth is, I despise all monotheistic religions. I don’t make a difference between Islam, Jewry or the Christian Church (note that I do not despise faith but religion - there is a huge difference between those two). However it is necessary to point out, that the only difference between Islam and christian churches is the fact, that the churches don’t have any real power anymore. If they had, things in the western world would look much different. But their influence is still strong enough to cause attacks on people the church hates. Some crazy preacher in Bumfuck Idaho will continue to babble incoherent shit about gay people, until some simple guy with an IQ of toast, decides to do something against these pests. While life in our countries certainly is far better than life in any muslim country, our people still hate gay people, foreigners, people of different religions, women etc. Pretty often this hate turns into violence. That doesn’t need to be an attack with dozens of victims. It already enough, if one black guy is being beaten up by a group of white power assholes.
The good thing is, that this kind of shit is being punished by the law (if they manage to get these guys). But the sad truth is that more than anything else these laws are, what prohibits said attacks from happening more often. People are still assholes, who will continue to hate on anything they don’t understand.
It sounds like a perfect good reason, but what are you gonna do? As I stated - they are on their way. Us closing the borders doesn’t change anything. They keep coming, because they don’t have anywhere else to go. So if we - the great western civilizations - do not wanna create a humans catastrophe right in front of our doors by letting hundreds of thousands of people kick the bucket, we gotta do something, right?
You can cross Turkey off that list. That country is going down the toilet and will end up being an islamic dictatorship. Erdogân has lost it completely after the recent events. However - you said it yourself. The WANT to do this and that. But there is laws in these countries which forbid that. So killing a gay person or an adulterer is a crime. That does not make these laws any different from ours. We too have enough people who wanna kill gays and people who believe in a different god.

That is true. I just found out recently, that Turkey has been sending Imams to german mosques for years. Knowing that Erdogân is a goddamn islamist, this raises the question, what our government was/is thinking. Looking at the recent events, these guys need to be shipped back to Turkey like yesterday.
The ideas may be different, but that doesn’t really change the goal, doesn’t it? Our idea of peace, their idea of piece - in the end we are all happy, if we can eat breakfast on our balcony without people bleeding out in front of our house screaming bloody murder.
We should put more effort in banning religion per se. I’d rather see millions of people going for the ab-crack or the bikini bridge than comparing the length of their gods dicks.
