I can’t understand idiots that think this is something to gloat over. It’s seriously fucked up. America is corrupt to the core and it looks like things will have to get a lot worse for Americans before things turn around, if ever.
Again, I continue to advocate 3rd party voting. If you vote for Hillary because she isn’t Trump, or Trump because he isn’t Hillary, you’re telling the parties that you will vote in utter crap as long as they’re “less worse” than the other party’s nominee. Primaries are going to be a lot more overtly rigged to prevent Sanders or Trump type situations from happening, and nominees won’t even try to campaign on issues when name recognition, mud slinging, and superficial shit become the most important parts of an election. Worse yet, the media is going to perpetuate this shit because it’s easy ratings, so once we start down this path we aren’t going to turn back any time soon.
I understand the idea of taking a lesser evil, but at a certain point we have to put our foot down and ditch a system that has no interest in working.

This fucking attitude is how “Leave” ended up winning in the UK. Even though youths overwhelmingly wanted to Remain, the youth turn out of 40% was squelched by the elderly turn out of 75%. Now the youth are crying about wanting a revote, but the truth is they screwed themselves over by not turning out in the first place.
Your vote matters, especially if you can organise yourselves into a voting bloc. That’s all that democracy is- find your numbers and make yourselves matter.
