I’m 32. I can’t affiliate myself with those 25 and under kids. Just don’t think the same as the tumblr generation.
My wife and I are planning on having a baby this next year, but our house is paid for and we have zero debt. We have lived on one income the entire time we have been married, and her income is only icing on the cake, we would be fine without it. It’s called being a responsible adult, and doing some god damn planning. I see no reason for the government to sponsor the reproduction of anyone, but I’m not a female voter who needs expects the government to be my sugar daddy.
Between this and the sex-bots if I were a woman I’d worry about becoming a pray species.
In a world where men don’t women for sex I think there would be a lot less interaction between the sexes.
Like I said earlier, I don’t even care about tax payer paid maternity leave. If that gets enough of the woman vote and Trump wins it’s mission complete. I agree that having a parent at home is the way to go (that’s how I was raised actually) but the reality is that without paid maternity leave, most families can’t afford to keep a parent at home for longer than the leave is active for. So are you saying only wealthy people should be allowed to have kids? I’m not talking about single mothers who work at McDonalds, I’m talking about the average middle class family who wants to have another kid. Are you saying they should have to go into hock to have a kid?
I agree with you about overpopulation, and I’d even go so far as to say I think people should have to have a license to have kids, but that opens up another can of worms. But a lot of the libertarian mumbo jumbo you and a lot of other folks spew is hilariously unrealistic and just doesn’t add up once you realize that we aren’t living in tribal times anymore.
They should simply not have another kid. My father wanted a fourth, but he made the call and got a vasectomy after three.
At some point, the parents need to evaluate their situation and stop. It might mean you stop at two, three, or even one.
The point of libertarianism is to let people do what they want, until they start relying on the rest of society to do so. Have as many kids as you want, if you can afford them, and as long as the rest of us aren’t paying you welfare for your troubles.
