thanks a ton lol sorry but its kind of hard to understand with the number notations u have. if u can tell me what the stand for it will be much easier

For that one if you use j.236C instead of j.236S, you can get a bit more damage, I think j.236S has a lot of scaling on it or something. But, on block, j.236C is really really bad.
Cool to see someone else using the same combos as me though, most of those you listed are the BNBs Iâve come up with, canât find anything else yet that does more damage. Just need to find a good Rosary BNB now if you get a random rosary hit (like j.C).
ahhh thanks dude help alot
first of all, j.qcf+H does less damage than qcf+S
secondly it gives you a ground bounce which makes it so you canât finish the combo

good combo, iâm using this as my bnb now but cutting out the fake exchange
Youâre mostly right but you have to link a st.L after the first qcf.L or it will drop.
Depends, actually. If the first st.M is done from a little out of point blank range, you can link the st.M after the qcf.L. Itâs entirely spacing dependent (except on Sent, I think, but I could be wrong). The idea is you hit the opponent with qcf.L at the end of itâs active frames, meaning you recover sooner compared to the opponent.
Also the exact combo heâs doing is:
st.M st.H f.HH dd.M st.M c.H qcf.L st.L st.M qcf.L st. L st.M st.S j.MMS jdf.H jqcf.S j.qcfXX
Doesnât seem optimal since he could add a standing H before the c.H and after the third st.M. Youâd lose the st.L and st.M before the launch, but the tradeoff for two Hâs is worth it.
Should we start a new combo thread if the OP doesnât want to manage it anymore?
Are you alive OP?
Yes please, someone make a new combo thread.
Iâm new to ammy and this one is just a pain in the assâŚ
For any fellow ammy/dorm users (although I can imagine itâd work with a myriad of assists, probably jam session, chun li legs, anything with lots of hits)
- :h: - f.:h: x 4 -
or :l: paper* - 2:m: - :h: - f.:h: x 5 - :s: - :h: - :h: - 236:h: -
- :s: - :h::h::h::s: - dark hole or whatever assist - :f::f: - glaive switch - 3:h: - 236:s: - okami super - (dhc into either dorm super >:D)
*depends on character, crouch, some characters donât work in corner.
does about 630k, and will kill dem 800k pixies if you dhc into dorm ball of fire w/ purification chip
If youâre in the corner neutral jump after the second launch. If not dark hole goes behind them :[
Builds 1 4/5 meters
Ok. Iâm trying to do (j.:df::h:, j.:qcf::s:, :qcf::atk::atk:)x2 after Iâve grounded my opponent. But⌠well. Obviously Iâm having trouble with it -_-; namely getting the j.:qcf::s: to connect a second time so I can do another :qcf::atk::atk:. I know it can be done, Iâve been watching the James Chen vs Justus match from Wednesday Night Fights 2.2 and trying to do exactly what he does against Arthur (minus the string, Iâm just working on getting it off of the ground for now). Can anyone offer any help on this or tips? Iâd really like to be able to get this combo down if possible.
EDIT: NM, I got it. Seems that the big problem was me doing the j.:df::h: from too high up. Apparently the sweet spot is when sheâs barely above the ground. Going to be hard to get that down⌠but compared to me getting Maggys flight loops just for starters >_> tch. Cake.
ok can someone plz update the ammy op when they get a chance. it will really help alot
Iâll update it by Friday. If people arenât happy with the thread feel free to close this one and start a new one.
Good Stuff!!! Im Going Try These Combos Out!:rock:
hey so um⌠i have a serious question
everyone seems to do the reflector switch to glaive combo in order to end the combo in a super. this combo is fairly difficult because of the switch
when i am in glaive, i use this combo instead⌠(there are 2 versions, both do about the same damage and work anywhere on screen)
j:h:-:l:--c.:h:-:s:-j.
-j:m:-j:h:-j:h:-:qcf::h:(land)
-:s:-:qcf:okami shuffle
or you can do
j:h:-:l:--:h:-:f::h:x5-:s:-j.
-j:h:-:qcf::h:(land)
-:s:-:qcf:okami shuffle
of course you can also omit the first hit if you want to start the combo from a grounded attack
also you can get the extra j. and j:h: on the bottom version too, its all just a matter of timing the hits apart. as long as ammy is positioned the right way above their hitbox so that the :qcf::h: doesnt whiff it should work anywhere on anyone. you sorta just have to eyeball it, but it most cases its not really that necessary.
both end in knockdown and do about the same damage as the galive switch combo so aside from the fact that with the glaive switch combo you can tag on an extra super for a little extra if you have the meter, what am i missing that would make sense to use the switch combo over the ones i just posted?
the main advantage is adding the extra supers in the corner with the glaive, other than that thereâs no real difference.
oh i see. so say, i if you had another character that you could just dhc into that caused about the same amount of damage and allowed you to tag back ammy in safely after it was over, wouldnt that pretty much be the same too?
Nah, 'cause then you could be using the weapon switch combos that do a higher 1-stock damage but donât have a loopable ending and doing your DHC off of that. That would do significantly more than if you just went for a reflector only combo. Weapon switch stuff is very much worth learning how to do.
Also this reminded me that I had been meaning to record this for awhile, so I did
