The Alisa Boskonovitch thread

Its because alot of westerners don’t like Anime inspired characters…oh well right, those two are the best thing to happen to Tekken since Jin put on a hoodie…then he grew out of it…

Hoodie Jin was fucking awesome.

Some notes on her: She feels a lot like Poison, but with weaker zoning and stronger rushdown. Her j.MK works like a Shoto’s Air Tatsu, crossing up as she twirls.
You can keep the combo going if you combo into Double Cut midscreen, but it’s ungodly hard. BNB I was doing was c.LP c.LP c.MK xx Double Cut, c.MK xx Happy Propeler - it’s really, really hard to land the c.MK midscreen after Double Cut. Might even be character specific, but so far works on Ryu and Blanka. Doing it in the corner or using EX Double cut on the other hand opens a lot of possibilities. Another thing I’d like to note is that she’s extremely tag cancel friendly. Tag cancelling Happy Propeler leads into a juggle combo starting with a jump in.

Her throw game is nasty. Her dash is absurdly fast so dash cancelling a blocked poke into a grab is really hard to react to. Her air throw is also really good since unlike Lili she can do it at any height from the jump, not to mention the throw leaves her really close to her opponent, on the ground AND it takes them to the corner. Yummy.

Jamp ur my hero today, this is too good.
how is her moves from Boot? and do you think her anti-air fireballs are useful enough to be used as legit tool for zoning with her? i’ll finish this post with this…“Super…Skyrocket Fist!”

Her fireballs are ok, but since she can’t charge cancel them it makes it harder to zone other characters since she can’t vary the speed nor cancel them to bait anti-fireball moves. It’s a decent zoning tool, but I wouldn’t rely on it outside of matches against grapplers.

Can’t say much about Boot yet, haven’t tested it enough - though Boot Hard Reset might be a good combo ender / tag cancel move.

i c, that was helpful…no need to explain how you were able to play the DLC characters, i’ll just think of it as a act of god or something~ lolz

Yay~ so she’s totally the opposite from her Tekken incarnation. I guess that may take a while to shift the playstye.

Being similar to Poison is also a plus, regarding gameplan.

Even if she’s different, she’s still a blast to play.

Another thing: cl.:hp: is special cancellable but it’s really hard to simply combo afterwards. However, you can charge dash cancel it for some nifty combo extensions. Her DP is actually a pretty damn good anti air, must have some invincibility in there. Aside from that, her air to air normals seem really good - j.:hk: seems to work exactly like Poison’s, hitting on top of her in an arc. DES HP is also a pretty damn good AA.

is db 3 still god like?..im kidding, are there any bnb’s you found in DES? and you think there will be combos like in T6 that put you into DES? and have you messed around with her BFF Lars yet? and do you plan to play team blood vengeance? Alisa/Ling?

ftfy

Also, Alisa’s anime inspired. What character is she a rip/tribute of?

What’s a mixup again? I thought it meant changing your lows and highs to get your opponent to guess or trip them up with an unexpected. from this video I don’t see the kick, just the spin and the angle seems to be more of an upward position.

Lili has an air throw? I wouldn’t expect her of all characters to have one.

Like I said, I have no idea of what I’m doing during DES. I found you could link DES c.:lp: into another but that’s it. And anything that links or chains into either s.:mk: or cl.:mk: combos into DES if you use Quick/Lost Access. You can also keep the combo going afterwards.

As for teams, I got nothng yet. But the idea is to use either her or Christie as my second character alongside Poison for my main team.

Lili has a Wall throw in T6…that is very similar to a air throw if you ask me…and Alisa’s air throw is kinda expected…shes got like jet packs man! its awesome~

but Alisa was made with the concept of they wanted a character who was a robot, and had chainsaws, the artist who drew her and all her concept art used alot references to Gundam and other popular Robot girl characters like Namco’s own Xenosaga’s KOS-MOS and Persona 3 android(her name escapes me atm)

SS 4.1+2 is not a mixup, since even on hit, people can block the follow-up. And since it’s unsafe, you’ll get punished.

On the plus side, Tekken’s mixups AREN’T high/low - since when you duck, you avoid highs and block lows lulz

To see said move better, check the videos os her trials in the above post. Since the move is pretty quick, you’ll hardly notice the kick unless you’re looking for it.

Also, thanks for the vids with more gameplay of Alisa-chan.

If I do end up getting this game eventually, I want to play a Dudley/Alisa team. If she truly is better off in the second spot being tagged in/spending meter, it sounds like it could work. The only issue is that having two rushdown characters might be redundant. I’ll see how things play out.

maybe a good start would be actually getting the game :stuck_out_tongue:
If your getting of SFIV there is still a learning curve(small but still) and beyond all the BS the game at its core a blast to play… I wouldn’t go far in saying its a honest fighting game…nor im i going to dick ride KOFXIII(though i like the game) so take this post with a grain of salt…but Alisa will be awesome

on a side note…i kinda wish they would have gave Alisa a flight mode…shes like literally the only character i can see having it…lolz but we all know how broken that would be…as people are already drawing similar lines to Alisa as another Sentinel.

Doesnt jack have flight too?

I’m pretty sure Jack has a temporary flight mode in this game.
Alisa does have a super jump though, doesn’t she?

technically everyone has super jump but hers is a obvious difference apparently(someone in the neighborhood has it hacked) so yeah, jack X has this weird hover move that lets him do really unorthodox jump ins and mix ups…

Everyone has a super jump, Alisa just jumps higher than normal.

Jack has flight, though.

Jamp, how’s her stamina in this game? If Capcom was smart, she’d be at least average 1000 health instead of the typical female health since she is a robot.

Question about Alisa in SFxT for those who used her, how do you guys feel about her zoning/footsie capabilities, and what do you use “desteroooy fooooooooom” for?
