Don’t run from it jordan…“you’ll only die tired”

lol , it’s soo late right now and I’ve been playing 3S by myself all night…I need friends who live closer

Ted

I think 3s is one of those games where you can actually play againtst the computer a billion times and not get extremely bored. or is that just me?

I play against the computer AI more often than not but honestly even on lvl8 it’s starting to get boring…at least I get some random Parry Training .

Ted

Heard that. That’s the reason I don’t play as much anymore. Computer isn’t any fun.

On a somewhat related side note, check out THIS thread. Just think of the possibilities…

Also if you haven’t seen the Coop Cup finals…

Add a ‘h’ to the front. Apparently direct linking kills bandwidth. Just doing my part.

Hey I have a question does anyone play Oro at the high levels? I have seen some really nice Hugo’s, Remys, and Necro’s but no Oro?? I know Larry and a few from Atl. play him. Does June? I heard June is play Ryu now as well as Ken. If anyone has any strats. or nice little things with Oro I would like to hear. I am starting to like him!

1st of all June would NEVER play a character like oro. It’s goes against his playing style. 2nd of all June told me i’m the best oro player he has played against. That ain’t really saying much since no one really uses him.  I can answer some questions jordan. I’ll try to answer them quickly, but I work alot so it may be a week before I respond.

Larry is it all good!! Ted said he would show me a few things. I just think he has alot to offer. Any help you can give would be great! Thanks

Well when playing Oro you should learn his pokes. Use his standing RH far away if they like to dash forward and grip. They usually dash into a toe in they’re mouth. Also you must use his high/low guessing game. If you knock someone to the ground you have 4 options.

  1. Low forward 2 in 1 into the droopy slam.
  2. standing close forward 2 in 1 into the droopy slam.
  3. standing close and crouch down and then throw your foe backwards. oro’s back throw put’s more stun on your foes
  4. use the UOH early so it hit’s them right when they get on they’re feet. If you do it right you can combo the standing Forward kick 2 in 1 into the droopy slam.

I use to play with the tengu stone in 2nd impact and sf3 next gen, but in 3S IMO Soopa art II “Yagu Dama” is Oro’s best soopa art. You get mad EX moves and you have the unblockable set up that you can kill a person after landing 1 of them. You must master the juggle combo or you shouldn’t even try to play with Oro IMO. That juggle combo give’s him 90% of his super meter. (if you use the yagu dama) This means if you have 1 1/2 meter when you trap someone in the unblockable you can get up to 3 supers, thus killing your foes with ease. The only weakness to oro is his overall speed and lack of strength against the top tier characters. He has the 2nd best stun normal attack in the game.(standing RH kick) Only Alex’s standing FP and standing RH put more stun on your foes. If you want to know more then ask direct questions sir. If you want combo’s or safe set up’s I can answer it, but I need to know what you want to know.

I want to know how to avoid dashing into a “toe in the mouth”

“With all that smack you be talkin…”

Mainly combos and safe set ups. Maybe a few like tricks and such. Something to help understand his range of ablities. Also what are the good match-ups for him?

Well IMO he is pretty good against most characters. He just have the biggest problems with all of the hoes’s in the game. (Chun li, Makoto, and elena) They all have better pokes and can hit him out of pretty much everything he does. It’s hard as shit to beat those hoes, but if you get the unblockable on them they are dead hoes. His best pokes are standing RH and forward kick just out of sweeping range. Throw an ex booger if they are whoring away and dash behind your booger. I guess you can use it like guile’s jab punch sonicboom. You know how to do the juggle combo right?

Standing strong punch 2 in 1 off the 1st hit of his SP and do the chicken feet. Do that 3X and on the 3rd time you juggle with the standing SP you 2 in 1 the super. They will fall through the super because you would have used your juggle limit during the juggle combo. While they are falling you can dash towards and as they are getting up you jump over them. They will get crossed up by the super as the get up for the ground. As the super is hitting them as they get up time it so you start the juggle combo as soon as the last hit of the super stops so you can get the full effect of the combo. If you have 1 and 1/2 super meter you can get 3 unblockables on your foes. This is how you use the unblockable correctly. Ask ted about the unblockable war’s we have when urien and oro clash.

Oh yea, If your near a corner and you start the juggle combo then try this:

Standing SP 2 in 1 into the chicken feet 3X
on the 3rd time instead of hitting them with the standing SP hit them with the crouching FP 2 in 1 into the super (parry or die trap) If they try to parry it you can put a standing RH kick in it to throw off the parry timing. If you hit them with the RH kick you can hit them with another standing RH kick and that will put 60% stun damage on your foes. IMO oro best strength is his abillity is to get your foes stun fast as hell. This is a killer combo against akuma since he has the smallest stun meter in 3S.

Chicken feet…

Cosign.

Are you in the ATL yet yo? You need to be on the ATL/Ga. 3S team when we goto charlotte on Nov. 22. Are you down for the team?

Nope. Probably won’t be able to make it up there until next year sometime. I graduate (finally) next month, and gotta start the job hunting process.

Somebody has to play Ibuki for me!!

Met up with some guys in Athens GA this weekend who have some good 3S stuff going on . I got to play an Ibuki who made me remember how good she was in 2nd Impact . I think they will be coming up for the next Anderson tournament…too bad there is no where in Atlanta like Arario’s anymore:( to hold tournaments .

If GA team needs a member I might can be on it since i don’t think SC will ever get a team of 5 together (we’ll see)

Ted

Thanks to Liquited and Dark Akuma for coming down this weekend. Good matches all around. I wish could remember all the little tricks and stuff you guys had. We’ll have to play again so I can remember them. We’re definitely up for Anderson tournaments.

sundus ibuki is a bitch.

end of story.

Damn right! I was rushed down like a fat kid in a pie eating contest!

Well maybe next time I won’t be used a a training dummy for Ibuki!

Good meeting you guys! Definely come up to Anderson for tournments.

Yeha thanks for the good matches sundu…deff. better than I was expecting . If you guys are up for it how about some gametime at my place this Fri night ? On my on turf maybe I won’t miss sooo many supers this time  .

Any chance you guys will be up for the Charlotte , NC tournament on Nov 22nd ?

Ted

I’m actually planning on going to Atlanta this friday to play some of those guys. But I definitely want to play you guys on your own sticks. I could tell there was a lot that just wasn’t coming out. If games in Atlanta fall through, you can bet I’ll contact you. At least haunts and I are going to the charlotte tournament. The other guys aren’t sure yet.
