Alright fellas…we got a line of tournaments coming up for the next few weeks. A_rival you showing up to the fairfield tourney this sat? I’m down to drive if you want to come with. You especially need to get practice against other players since you can’t play with regulars at SVGL and MGL. Try to make it out to this one 707 Krew!

NICE! good shit man.Due to me wanting to practice more and not seeing improvements from going to SF weekly’s I will be attending them less. Why? So i can actaully practice more. I lose a whole days worth of studying time to goto sf and play just a handfull of matches. And then play catch up on homework the rest of the following week and get no 3s practice. So insteated I’m gonna hit up weeklies less get homework done and leave more time to practice setups and what not (ie: actaully train to get better). I this will motivate me to attend bigger tourny’s.
And finally someone should set up weekly casual play rather than tourny. We’d all get to play more with different people and actaully get better, then just stand around and wait or play other fighting games… just my thought though. :wonder:

Trouble is, nobody good ever plays there. We’ve rounded up pretty much all of the decent Sonoma County players, and we all just play at my house now. We never post since we live within calling distance.

Anybody pick up alpha anthologies?
Yeah we picked up alpha anthologies. talk about goofy! Throwing in all the extra isms really goofs things up. It’s really fun, but I think CE-ISM is a bit much. I played as CE Gief and no amount of parrying or chain combos could stand up to a random 1/3 life SPD. However, the game is loads of fun and I had forgotten how cute Pocket Fighter was! Also, alpha 2 is a much better game than I remember.
Jion, the anniversary edition only lets you pick games. If you want CE Guile, we can play Champion Edition. :rolleyes: We’ve been playing a lot of Smash Bros as well.

Funny you should post… our local arcade finally got some decent fighting games with decent controls to boot… now, after about 8 years, we have some serious games to play.

This has happened in the past month. I’ve been granted permission to host tournaments, so at the end of this month, there will be one held that you can try to make it to. I’ll be posting it up here when all the arrangements have been made.

Hey, im in the sonoma county area. All the Scandia regulars know me. Im the “two week scrub” that was told to participate in the tourney. So, when you guys get together, ill be on here. And, I’ve been practicing my chun-li alot at home on the stick, so be ready if I feel im prepped for the tourney. GLHF and Im out!

Well, technically, I DO play MvC2, but seeing as how I hate losing, and seeing as how my best teams always end up losing, I dont play it at the arcade in order to save myself money and self-esteem. if I could get a group to practice with, I would definitely change that. If I could get a good trap team set up, or learn Magneto well by the time of the tourney, I would DEFINITELY play MvC2 in the tourney. Also, I own it for DC, but because the CPU is easy to beat on even the highest difficulty, and my bro is off at college, I have no one to practice with. :sad: If someone wants to help me out, It would be much appreciated. Right now im trying to learn Spiral on point, Cable, and Blackheart assist, but Im thinking I would play better with Magneto, CapCom, Sentinel. Any suggestions?

well, I played Jamal twice more. Once with a new team of cable spiral and blackheart, and then with my usualy mid tier team: Akuma, Megaman, and Rogue (though I meant to pick Capcom, but forgot and chose rogue instead…)with the second team i lost horribly because i couldnt set my trap and with my third team I killed sentinel and Felicia.
