there was also like 4 random mexican dudes that were playing cvs2 and were pretty good… shit like that makes me wonder how many other fighting gamers there are in this area that we haven’t met cuz of the language barrier. hella should post the tourney info in espanol, haha

the tourney will start saturday @ 5pm with guilty gear slash and the extra game, either cvs2, garou, fist of the north star, tekken, or puzzle fighter.
marvel vs capcom 2 and 3s will start between 530 and 6
Good to hear the tourney is running on time.
I hope I can get back home in time to practice. This lame-ass Bay Area storm has prevented me from getting home. All the roads out of Santa Cruz are flooded with heavy traffic.
Hopefully it clears up tonight and I’ll be home then. If not, I have to hope that things get better tomorrow. Gah, this is frustrating.

Sorry if this has been covered but what time are sign-ups for the tourney on Saturday?
I think sign-ups start at 5, but I’m not totally sure.
I still think that the 3S diagonals really aren’t registering that well. Is it just me? Is there the possibility of a console tournament for that? I’d be willing to lend my stick to anyone who doesn’t have one. I’ve got two if need be, though one has a funny layout.
so yesterday the tech switched out the sticks between fist of the northstar and marvel. dash is not as great as it should be.
3s sticks need work, i was told they would be worked on yesterday, cvs2 will be worked on as well. I have been there the past 3 days, i’ll be there again today. its better if people go earlier so the tech can see exactly what is acting funny. i’ll be there today probably from 3-6pm.
Tourney 4th game will most likely be cvs2 since i’ve already had 6 people sign up.

Hooray for CVS2.
I’m heading up there tonight. I mostly play 3S, though, but I’ll play CVS2 if you’ll teach me some stuff. All I know is short short special move with my characters.
I’ll probably be up there tonight after 6pm. I’m picking up a friend of mine in San Rafael. So hopefully if the traffic isn’t too bad on 101 (usually is) we should be there from 7-7:30pm to closing.
Also I told Anthony and Dave (Marin) about the tourney, so hopefully they’ll show up and enter.

final thoughts before the tournament.
deal with the sticks. they could be better, but, like i said the tech has been working on them for the past 3 days. its most likely something more inside the 2 machines. (mvc and 3s). guilty gear sticks could not be more perfect. hope to see some familiar faces tomorrow, maybe a couple new ones. one last reminder:
tourney signups will start for all games at 5pm. for guilty gear slash and 4th game(more then likely cvs2), those games will start being played around 530. I want those to start asap, because i dont want to be at scandia all night. marvel and 3s will start around 6.

Dang. I wanted to play Guilty Gear in the tourney but it looks like I won’t be able to make it in time. I’ll try to bring a camera for the games if I can end up going to this.
