The 707 Sonoma County Thread

I am now doing Fighting Game nights at my house in Santa Rosa. They happen starting at 7pm on Thursday nights.

If you are interested, PM me, friend me on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sam.wright.54) and go to this event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/390851007618427/

We have TVs and setups for Street Fighter 4, Marvel, Blazblue, SFxT, Skull Girls, and Smash Bros. If people are interested we will also be providing food and drink.

There are around 8 regulars attending right now who play mostly SF, Marvel and Smash.
PM me if you have any questions.

Is Scandia in Rohnert Park pretty much dead?

Seems like CVS2 died back in 2005 and 2006 time frame…

All I want to do is get back in the scene. I live in Santa Rosa looking to play

Any arcades still open in Sonoma County?

Rohnert Park Scandia is awesome for old school 2d fighters. They have both Hyper Fighting and Super Turbo, as well as some newer stuff like KOF XIII and SSFIVAE. They also have Vampire Savior, Alpha 3 Upper, and SF III Third Strike.

I’m up in Fairfield but willing to drive to Rohnert for Hyper Fighting or ST.

I’m in Vacaville, but I’ll drive out to Sonoma County for casuals and training. Online play just isn’t the same, and I kinda want some real-life live experience. I play USF4, though.

Scandia in Rohnert Park used to have CVS2 as well

I gotta go there the next time I visit Santa Rosa.

Looking for a place to play in Sonoma County? We have a venue in Petaluma that has been doing weekly USF4 / Melee / other sessions every monday night for over 3 years. It seems like there might not have been common knowledge of this judging from the posts, but anybody that wants to check it out is welcome to head over to our facebook page. Timing is Monday nights, 8pm to 1am unless otherwise posted. There are usually 2-3 360 setups on hand, and anywhere from 4-8 Melee stations (I don’t know, they just sort of appear out of thin air) Venue fee 1$, located near multiple restaurants and stores, with a vending machine on site.

Sounds good! I can bring a PS2 with CVS2 the next time I’m in the area…
