Was that at Sunroute?
nothing against the guy, but he has zero footsies skills. most online only players have a very weak ground game as footsies dont really exist online at all. anyone with a decent ground game would own him. he just tries to partition a million moves every round. he can do combos well, but it takes more than that to be good with urien.

ill be honest. that is kind of what I would expect.
anyway ryan wrote everything i was going to say. online spacing/footsies and reaction is all a bit different and you can get away with shit online that you can’t offline.
It is a different skill to play online and there are leniences that exist there that don’t offline. However, I haven’t seen any high level American Urien players do half the Aegis setups he does in matches. His knowledge of character specific setups is very good.
Legendary trolling. Should have taunted after round one but well played indeed
online 3s is lag strike not third strike.
Knowledge of setups and good execution are important but are nothing without good basics… which from what I have played him he lacks along with most dedicated online warriors.
You can win with lack of basics in lag strike not so much in 3s
take that match you posted for example…
the entire match there is absolutely ZERO spacing or footsies going on at all from him lol. all hes doing is dashing around trying to do dash headbutts or dash tackles or random tackle. the 1st round in particular is funny as hell to me.
character specific aegis setups arent even that important in 2011. he is ok at combos tho.
it doesnt really matter, i dont think he plays offline and im sure hes having a lot of fun doing all these combos. if he ever tried to learn footsies and solid fundamentals, he could be pretty scary.
hahahaha
That sounds a bit exaggerated.
Not really. I don’t mean to jump on the bandwagon (I’ve played him before, he is really good with the setups, I admit) but ryan and Tebbo are correct. If you’re using Dudley, just get more comfortable with using st.mp/cr.mp into ducking xx super, and you’ll stuff a lot of his offense since he loves to dash so much.
This was a Japanese Gill that beat me like eight times in a row at first. These were the next two matches that followed.

It’s so satisfying to beat the shit out of a trolling gill

he’s a good online player. but i’m not convinced he’s good offline. no one who really plays 3s cares about online as a way to seriously play the game. it simply is not the same game.
everyone who plays on a cps3 cab is going to dismiss online players. that will never change. it’s two different arenas and the game is meant to be played offline on a cab, so that’s always going to be the ‘correct’ way to play the game.

also i ran into the shend while playing online, i would post the match but it was abit laggy =/
Kuroda Gill!!
Just started 3S with its online release so I’m not exactly awesome, but this is one of those matches where I felt something “click” in my head. Critiques are very welcome. Guess I should upload one of my losses next.

Now that I’ve had a chance to dig into 3S, I wish I’d spent my time playing this game instead of Tekken and Soulcalibur back in the day.
Funny Hugo mirror match between my buddy and me.
The ending in pretty funny, so I highly recommend at least watching the 3rd round
