However, the manner in which they’re going about executing those philosophies is very different. The more we hear about KoFXII, the more it sounds like a demo for KoFXIII.

They way they make this sound in the interview it seems as if KoFXII is going to be the platform for all new 2d SNK fighters
Why are folks so down on XII? Calling it a demo? Its starting from scratch and it uses an extremely time consuming method for making the artwork. Yeah, its gonna be a starting platform for future games… If you wanted a 36+ roster, you’d have to wait at least another 4-5 years. It took them 4+ years for 20 characters right?
So…this KoF doesnt conclude the Ash saga then?

In an earlier interview there was mentoin about something like that they’ll make the storyline after graphic- & gameplay-wise everything else is completed. So it’s true or not?

That’s what I think. In every KOF most people have stupid endings anyway. In KOFXI Ryo and KIng were on a date… As (somewhat) amusing as that was who really cares?
Another ending has I think the MOTW team having drinks. C’mon a lot of endings are stupid/pointless/slightly amusing.
Do one important ending and worry about others later. I know I’m not the only one that thinks SNK just halfasses some endings just to have an ending to look at.

One ending is cool for me, but I hope that it will be a bit more than thoose 98/02 endings.
I would be fine with just the main ending and some pretty pictures for certain character combinations.
I wasn’t surprised when I saw some of those endings. Besides that, there’s only one real ending in KoF. One ending that is actually considered to be canon. It’s not like everyone can win KoF each year.

Yashiro throat rip ending was creezy. New faces team had the most tragic ending, the best arranged music, and top billing during their first and last canon KOF. They owned KOF back in the day…
KOF without individual endings = fewer reasons to play through with all characters = us playing the same frickin’ characters that we’ve been playing since the last KOF.
At least have character specific artwork or somethin’.
