well I saw Odin Sphere Greatest Hits the other day. I think there is actually a market for 2D, companies just need to stop being lazy and put more work into it.
Well K’ and Kula are probably in, (Kula having her snow/ice shimmering thing should look really cool in HD) and I don’t know why people are so bent out of shape about number of characters. No one in their right mind could have thought it was going to be a huge cast. There will be sequels, with more characters.
A lot of this is unfinished, but so far I’m really excited to get to play it. I started playing KoFs games after a certain so some of the retro movesets will be new to me. I wonder if the motions are retro too? I wouldn’t mind if they were, but I also wouldn’t mind not having some of the funky motions the earlier KoFs had.
I like all the chracters shown so far except Ralf, I could see what they are going for, making him into this Rambo ish character like he was originally thought to be, but they pushed it too far. I would have worked maybe for Kevin from Garou, but Ralf looked just really in great shape, he never had the body builderish look.
It seems like it would have been a good idea to have 21 characters, then you could have had seven teams. Rather than twenty characters…
Also the game still has to go through proper location testing, so stuff like the thrust attacks and guard attack can be tweaked.
Agreed, I think its strictly a bad idea. The game already has rolls, low jumps, and what seems to be a poorly made clash system, they don’t need another way to deflect or get around attacks. It seems like a good way to instantly make the game sloppy.
Regardless, there’s no reason to complain now. The entire system could be dumped or overhauled by the time of release.
no official teams is a fantastic idea. gives them more freedom to add great characters instead of random snk character 1 just cuz team x needs someone.
