It’s because they know how strong that shit is from KOFXI…oh well doesnt matter I’ll still find something broken with him…hahaha
Yo DG I ask the manager at the Tilt and he said he’s fine with throwing a tourny around the 16th, but wouldn’t it be better to throw a tourny on th 18th since it’s on a Saturday?
Yes I agree…
Duo Lon looks nasty…don’t let me get a hold of him guys…I’ll be mixing up forwards and backwards teleports like nobody’s business…
Too lazy to look through those matches, so could someone link to Robert, Ralf and Raiden gameplay plz?
Alright, here we go (again):

(has Raiden too)
Quick suggestion for StrikeFreedom (which I hope you don’t mind): Listing the characters used in the video description of each match. I personally don’t mind it myself, but it may help people like Tizoc who are interested in a certain character find out who’s being played.
I can haz Kyo and Iori vids nao plz?
^ there are plenty of videos on my youtube of #1geesemaster dominating with a Kyo-Iori-Ash team. I’d go look for links but I fucking hate lolcats/4chan speak, sorry.
I got like 15 new match videos today, plus videos of the intro/3rd stage intermission/ending (they’re nothing special) after everyone left (or went to play Tekken 6). X20ASTRIKEFREEDOM said he got like 22 vids. You guys are going to have plenty to watch!
I’m a bit worried that these videos won’t look as good though, they put this new marquee on the cabinet but there’s no marquee actually in there so there’s just this bright light coming out of it. I think it was throwing off the white balance a bit on what I recorded. I haven’t actually unloaded the videos off my camera yet though so I haven’t been able to confirm, but they should still be watchable. I’ll probably start uploading vids in a couple hours or so.
Gonna make another post a little later about the new character tidbits I noticed…
imo as long as clark has his abb he is still top-tier in my book… a few questions about his movelist…
df+a - the combo u posted about this is freaken awesome… does he actually have invincibility on this? and can u combo into something on a normal hit also?
f+(b+d) - this will probably be like goro’s qcb.B? cancellable from moves and throw afterwards?
qcf.+b or d - so they made it short now? no more hcf.D?
mash a or c - is there any use of this? cause i almost never used this…
follow up qcf+a or c - so wth is this? is clark able to blow away someone with mash punches then chase after them and grab them up? probably his running grab from xi? if so then that’s awesome…
hcbx2+a or c - can i please get a clear video of him doing this… i can’t figure out what the last hit looks like…
as far as i believe they are trying to add depth to clark’s gameplay style and combo ability… which is good news since he has always been so basic… i couldn’t ever get tired of doing ABB though even when i’m 49
aahh nice, what are his overhead options?
The follow up qcf+a is his elbow drop after his command grab.

This match has Clark hitting his super and the last hit looks like Clark breaking the opponent’s back on his knee.
It’s his elbow drop followup to his command throws (like the SAB) that’s been in almost all of the appearances Clark has made.
Edit: Beaten by DaFeetLee
And about his super, the end animation is similar to that of the '94/'95 version of his Ultra Argentina Backbreaker, IIRC.

oh ya forgot about that… so his mash punches r still useless huh? w/e… as long as the df.A is a good anti air i’m still happy… i really wanna see someone do that counter hit combo off of df.A… and holy shit… raiden looks freaken top-tier… i hate how he is fat and ugly but my grapple happy team is finally complete… thank you snk for finally putting 3 grapplers in 1 kof game… ramon doesn’t count… he is whack clark + goro + raiden ftw!!!
Thanks for the vids!!
Ralf is BEAST!!!
It looks like you can connect a cr.C, CD attack, into Super:lovin:
His corner combos look sweet!!!
I also dig that Raiden weak kick into Super trap!!!
GODDAMNIT!!!
I want this game to come out now!!!

what the fuck happened with the throws there
Yo guys check this shit out:
So the Iori player does cr.B, cr.A xx roll…this is in alot of other KOFs but it used to cost 1 stock, but now it’s free (?!) since super bar is only for super and cc bar is only for cc. This is going to make the CD parry even riskier (since you can bait like get your attack parried -> cancel into roll to avoid the attack -> punish) when you can just use the roll cancel for free. Pretty nuts! You guys should see if CD xx roll gives advantage on block.
BTW Thanks a ton to kusanagistyle for uploading these videos! And preemptive thanks to BBH since I know he’s got some to upload as well.
Probably what happens when both ppl throw at the exact same time, kinda like in GG where you both get f+H.
Ah some fine vids on the last sides. Seems Andy’s super is a decent anti air with great damage so far. He also looks damn fluid he.
Can Andy’s dp beat lows here???
hehe, that was me playing Ralf-Terry-Robert :wgrin:
Ok here are some random thoughts on the characters I played today, and some misc game shit. Some of this stuff is probably old and been mentioned before but whatevs
There is no boss when playing vs. the CPU. You play 5 stages of time attack and have the option to replay each stage once for a better time. There is an intermission after the 3rd stage, and a generic ending after the 5th stage. I’m sure some people will be disappointed, maybe they’ll add other stuff on console version.
People been asking about the music but I can still barely hear anything, the sound effects and the voices overpower the music hardcore. I get the impression that the music isn’t all that noteworthy, and that instead they’re going for a more “ambient” feel, like how KOF 97 was. Maybe we’ll be able to better hear it when direct-feed videos surface.
Instant overheads - I couldn’t seem to get any jumping D’s to instant overhead, there always seems to be a delay before they come out if done immediately on a jump. That’s not to say nobody has one, more testing may be required. HOWEVER, jumping B’s can definitely come out fast enough to be an instant overhead. Robert and Daimon can definitely do it with their jumping B’s. Those were the only ones I got to test, but I’m certain there are more.
Clark
I made it a point to play him a lot and determine if I could find anything good what with the new B+D hop. The results? Well… I don’t think he’s “worthless” any more, but I’m not entirely convinced that he’s going to be good…
Crouching C is bufferable like Ralf’s, I don’t think it was bufferable in some (most?) of the older KOF’s?
His far standing D (which has to be done as f+D) is the same as Ralf’s far standing D in 98, NOT Clark’s old standing D. At least it’s a decent poke.
I couldn’t land airthrow for the life of me! Doesn’t seem good at all
Can’t seem to juggle anything after mash punch
As for the B+D hop? It is… interesting. Unfortunately I don’t think throw mixups off of it are as good as they potentially could be, since all they have to do is low A and they’ll beat your SAB or Super clean. If you catch them napping, blocked crouching C or D xx B+D into SAB or Super works pretty well, but they’ll be more alert after that. Now for the interesting part… crouching C xx B+D, Super combos! I landed it twice but neither one was on video, so I’m not 100% sure if the crouching C was a counter-hit stagger, but it looked like a regular crouching C hit to me both times. The Super definitely added to the combo meter (5 hits, super is 4 hits on its own), anyway. After that I tried doing crouching C xx B+D, SAB a lot but the only time it ever comboed was after a counter-hit stagger. I’m not sure how much frame advantage you have after the B+D hop, maybe it’s possible to do low A into SAB after crouching C xx B+D… but I didn’t think to try until now. Someone get on this!
Also, you have to be careful when buffering into B+D hop because you might end up overlapping with SAB. If you’re doing crouching C into it, then start with the joystick at Down-Forward, then press C, then move to Forward and press B+D.
Ralf
Not much new, in corner I did crouching C -> CD xx qcf+A, and then juggled with a crouching A or something. I think I was trying to do ground pound but fucked up. No luck figuring out links after mash punch.
Raiden
Feint cancelling (B+D) the READY GO isn’t as good as I expected, it’s hard to create fakeout pressure strings with it since you actually have to charge the READY GO, of course. You do get a tiny bit of super meter from starting and then cancelling it though!
Jumping D is a crossup body splash, it’s pretty good
That corner combo of jumping C/D, crouching C -> CD xx A Ready Go, Air Grab works. And it hurts like a bitch. I likes.
I think Raiden is going to be really good in this game. He’s got some good standing pokes, a good crossup, a low B low A into command throw combo, super does a shitload of damage, and the range on his b+CD is amazing. There is some potential in the Ready Go feint cancelling but I don’t think that will be as useful as Clark’s hop, although Raiden is definitely going to be way better than Clark.
Shen
Oof… didn’t do too well with him today
Barely got any Critical Counter chances, and when I did I completely fucked up the motion for his powerup super, so I still haven’t seen it activate. sighhhhh
The timing on doing qcf+B/D after qcf+P is weird. There’s like a very strict window in which you can cancel it, and I don’t think mashing it out helps any. Besides you don’t want to cancel into it on block, because the Shen Woo Punch is pretty damn safe on block but the qcf+B/D uppercut is completely unsafe. If you connect with it you can juggle but all I ever juggled with was low A cuz there’s not much time to do it.
Couldn’t get qcf+B/D or super after command throw to work. His command throw is really bad, BTW
A fully charged Shen Woo Punch crumple stuns on hit. Not 100% sure if it’s unblockable when fully charged like it was in XI… maybe it causes guard crush instead?
Robert
I like Robert a lot. Definitely has a slot on all my teams for now.
The B+D crossup jumping kick - pretty nice, but not as good as I expected. This is because of how the jumps are in XII. It always seems like regular jumps and hops don’t cover enough horizontal distance, and the super jumps go too far. It’s tough to perfectly judge the distance in which you can land the B+D crossup off a super jump, especially if they end up moving. I guess it’s better to just stick to doing it after regular jump, after a knockdown or somethin.
Jumping C/D, standing/crouching C, f+B, f+A xx fireball / super works. Not sure if it does more damage than doing Jumping C/D, standing/crouching C, CD xx whatever instead.
Fuck I forgot to see if Genei-Kyaku combos… who cares about that move though
Semi-command throw kick thing (hcf+K) has decent range. I caught a lot of people just doing it off a dash. I don’t think it combos off light attacks though, it’s like… not instant. Hell I don’t even remember comboing it normally. Maybe it works after the f+B, f+A chain thing??
His Ryuko Ranbu super (the autocombo one) seems to have similar properties as Takuma’s super in 98. Basically the A one comes out faster and is better for combos, but doesn’t have invincibility, and is a little safer on block. The C one comes out a little slower, but has shitloads of invincibility (I was using it as anti-air and to go through fireballs), but has a little more recovery. Either way, I got into the habit of doing a DP after the super was blocked and it would usually punish whatever they tried to retaliate with. I guess if people catch on to that, you can try going for hcf+K command throw thing instead, maybe. Maybe not. (Ryo’s super appears to function in the exact same way according to one of the people I was playing against)
Terry
I got the standing/crouching C, CD xx B Crack Shoot, A Rising Tackle juggle to work in the corner. Not really great damage but I guess it looks cool!!!
Terry does not have a far standing D, so he always get the “close” version which is the upward kick that’s usually been a good meaty attack. Still seems pretty good in this game. This is great because you can do a meaty standing D from farther away and get it every time.
Iori
Everyone is playing him. Everyone. SCREAM CRY DIE
If he doesn’t have meter for super, he can followup Wild Throw with upward slash, and then running slash thing. Might be potential for more stuff, especially if they get bounced into the corner
Wild Throw combos off standing C
Also I swear I’ve seen Wild Throw completely negate some ground pokes and Iori ends up getting the grab. Considering random pokes stuff the grapplers’ command throws, this is pretty major… assuming this is true and I’m not just imagining things.
Athena
CPU Athena did some weird thing against me where she cancelled a reflector into another reflector. ???
