At my apartment in stockton. It’s near a shopping plaza with lots of food and drinks just incase anyone gets thirst or hungry. It’s peaceful, It’s quiet and all I would need is for people to bring their set ups. plenty of space.

Is the stockton fighting game scene actually active? I suck balls at mvc3 and am only somewhat decent at AE, but I love it and really want to get involved in a local scene to get better. If anyone could let me know what the deal is, that would be awesome.

Everyone needs to check out the arcade at the el dorado flea market on the weekends. It’s legit and has a lot of good fighting games. Most of the games are only a quarter and the ps3 ae cab is only a quarter for 5 min. I was there earlier today but there was only a few players there and pretty much no one on ae. let’s go stockton! hype it up and lets get a real arcade scene going! Here’s the thread about it if anyone wants more info.
<— one of the guys reppin Merced at Evo this year. Yeah we should really get the scene going for the 209. I know TGN is a good start up venue but i get the feeling some of those guys are house gamers…ya know. Guys that THINK they are pretty good because they play against other crappy players. I don’t feel good paying their venue just to whip their regular’s asses. I know Focus Attacks in Fresno is holding a tournament next month on the 4th. I know they have a venue cost on top of the regular tournament entries (ends up being like 15 bucks which isn’t bad). But I went to battle for central earlier this year and the skill level is pretty high there. TGN is a decent play for tournaments but I know the whole chucky cheese feeling about it lol. Playing a venue cost for casuals seems off to me…I have no problem paying while a tournament is being held the same day though. But yeah, 209 is starting up and I know the Merced scene is pushing to start some shit lol

tgn isnt a bad spot to host a tourney @ if ppl outside modesto actually show up lols

cause last time i went i just played with the ppl i went with and wasted $$$ when we coulda just played at my house wit no bs venue fee, tgn is the gamers network freely

yeah, my hands are getting better but it’s still hurts in certain joints, namely my thumb on my left hand and index and middle finger on my right. (those who don’t know, Myself and two others were in a car accident when leaving Evolution 2 weeks ago. All of us survived, still recovering). Anyways yeah TGN doesn’t know what the fuck they are doing. Need to see if we can get that shit started
