so listening to the press conference this morning about the Fiz firing, they are making it seem like his overall record since the 2nd half of the season last year up til now is why he was let go, but injuries was a main part of that we were floating around the 4 5 seed before the tail end of the season so that ain’t adding up… it may have been a panic of him or me with the front office decision between Fiz and Gasol which is unfortunate… interesting they’re gonna roll w Bickerstaff the rest of the way.
Feels like the Rockets debacle of a few years back, key difference is McHale proved he can’t coach worth shit. It will be interesting how the Grizzlies take to JB since the Rockets style of play never changed and the defense got way worse. It’s going to comes down to if Marc buys in the rest will follow, but with that being said he (Marc) is having one of his worst seasons up to date so he also needs to step it up.
As much as I hate watching the Rockets play the Griz I want Memphis to be good since they frustrate other teams just as much.
LeBron bitching to refs while blowing out Heat. Got ejected and Heat trimmed lead down to 11. Would have been amazing to see that comeback but it wasn’t meant to be.
Also the Celtics are good this year. For all the talk of Kyrie Irving and how they were going to cope without Hayward, Aron Baynes has turned out to be the steal of the off-season. He’s basically a poor man’s Bogut but having a guy with that size that can pass and play physical is helping a lot.
He’d be right at home in Philly. Everyone knows Redick is a 1-year rental.
Other than that, the obvious options are San Antonio, Cleveland (if Lebron stays), Boston - basically any team that can prove they’re a contender with him on the roster.
Milwaukee would be interesting, but I’m clearly rooting for Philly in this situation.
It’s old news because GS aren’t going to be able to keep him and Dray at market and analysts are saying KD/Curry/Dray is a better fit.
It’s just popped up a bit lately on typically unreliable sports Facebook type stuff. The loss to the King’s has some people questioning Klay or feeling he’s underused depending on who you ask.
There’s literally nothing to gain for Klay by leaving. He’s winning, his brand is growing (reached 1 mill followers on Twitter recently), and the last thing he should want is to go “be the guy” on some team and have his dribbling exposed.
Not to mention all that new endorsement money he’ll get when they move to San Francisco and that market opens up.
I think another ring will be enough for Klay to want his own star. People are always going to consider him the lesser Splash brother while he plays with Curry and on a loaded team he’s just a guy.
Honestly I think he should go to L.A. I’m not a massive Lakers fan but can you imagine the void he’d fill there? You want to talk brand as well, nothing does more for your personal brand than playing for the Lakers if you’re good.
