I think this was Hinkie’s last draft and believe it or not - he wanted Porzingis! Ownership forced him to take Okafor since it was thought as a no-brainer and he was more known to the fanbase. Hinkie nor the fanbase wanted any part of Okafor.
On the right team, he’d be ballin’ right now though. He’s completely changed his body and put up good numbers in the scarce playing time he’s gotten. I’d call the Suns and see if they’d take him for Bledsoe - just so we can have a nice piece for trade deadline time.
I don’t see the suns moving bledsoe before the 15th unless a trade blows them away. Alot of players are off the table until then and the suns don’t seem to be in a rush to move him.
Also declining okafors option actually raises his value a bit. Then if any team wants to make a deal they would only be locked into for the remainder of the season and not the 7 million he would be owed if they picked up his option.
Can’t tell if Heat are playing well because Whiteside is back, or because it’s the Bulls.
There isn’t a player on the court that can guard porzingis right now. He might get 40. If the rockets keep switching guards on him he’s just going to keep just catching and shoot instantly . Easy points
Porzingis may be balling out right now but there was a TON of apprehension when he was drafted as high as he was, even here on SRK.

The Suns were down by 20+ in the 2nd quarter, and then roared back for a win against the Wizards, and are now .500 for the first time since 2015.
There is a definite shift in the air. By firing Watson 3 games in and sending Bledsoe, our “best player”, home, the Suns are now turning the ship around. I think getting put on blast by national media lit a fire under these kids.
