He shouldn’t. The team was dumb enough to think he was ‘cornerstone’ for a team when due to health and skills at best he is a third option at best. Such foolishness in the front office is a clear sign of failure, just like we’ve seen with the 76ers, the Knicks and other trash teams in the past. Overvaluing talent that is slightly above average at best and not doing enough to cultivate the rest that you do have.
It is something I have worried about with the Rockets, but Harden has proven in multiple seasons to be a legit superstar in skills like Westbrook and Morey while not great with giving talent time to develop has decent senses when it come to role players.
