So does anyone else find it REALLY lame that Tron cant combo after her LVL 3? I honestly consider a Clakey D ender to be her true lvl 3 lol.

Le Sigh, yes, at times it’s actually caused me to forget that the level 3 even exists! I’d love if she can cH after it, a la Haggar. :sad:

Yeah… I pretty much only use my Level Three when the other guy is at low enough health that I know it will kill and I want to watch him squirm during the cinematic.

I demand that Capcom takes off the recovery off of her grab hyper… and her special versions too!

I wish she could XFC on whiff when she does Lunch Rush… and that s.H can be empty canceled into f.H :[

I’ve been butthurt about this all day today, LOOL.
I was telling my SF4 training partner how nearly everyone (If not, everyone else) can at least x-factor or normally continue a combo.

hahaha. Well, if you’ve still go xfactor stocked there’s basically no reason to go for the lvl3, since the normal command grab will get you more damage though, right?

The startup invincibility counts for something, at least. I haven’t really played around with it, but would it be possible to grab a divekick on reaction? I figure if you can grab Bionic Arm on reaction, you should be able to grab one of the faster dive kicks…

Hmmm… most dive kicks are unsafe on block so you can probably do it after a block. Grabbing a dive kick probably wont work since the grab isnt active very long since theyll hit you in the air before hitting the ground…

How often do you guys utlilize Tron’s new buff that allows her to cancel her normals into command grabs?

I tend to use it during someone else’s wakeup so that theyre urged to block the s.H rather than worry about a command grab. Ive also sneaked away canceling the recovery of Tron’s s.H into a command throw after the block stun ends.

How often do you guys use s.H > Command throw to extend your grab range? I dont feel like I do this enough.

I’ve used it a couple of times on people who back/neutral tech after a Lunchtime as a reset.

If I drop falling j.H -> s.H or if I do s.H on their entry and they block I go for the kara cancel, otherwise i’m throwin dem rocks

Ah speaking of which, you guys are all remembering to cancel into 6H at the end of block strings I hope. Remember, Bandit Boulder is +1 on block!

What if I completely whiff the 5C, wat do then? I try to do hcb+l or dp+m… but i’m not sure if those are any better than my old bad habit of MASH H DRILL

46 total frames of recovery at best on whiffed Bonne Mixer (H) which is almost as bad as Skrull [I fucking love how Mustang Kick is only 26f]…Think you’re better off canceling whiffed 5C into a Servbot Launcher (which although adds up to like 55f, only takes 18f to at least puts a hitbox on the screen that drops down).

I don’t think you should do grounded Bonne Strike unless you’re facing the Hulk or some shit, since that’s a clean -7f on block. Or you can try frametrapping with Beacon Bomb if you’re feeling racy but I don’t think that’s safe lol.

Yeah ive been here… I think whiff canceling into L drill would be the best. Its still -7 on block, but youre hitting at the tip putting you slightly outside of grab/ jab range.

Mkay, I kinda feel the lack of drill is kinda… lame.

Do you guys have any suggestions for Tron’s ‘ground game’ and ‘footsies’? I sessioned again today with people like ytwojay and wentinel and I was actually having success with throwing out pre-emptive s.H into drill confirm or relaunch confirm. It also kinda stops disruptor + gun-> teleport shenanigans if you time it perfectly, but again it’s unsafe to just throw out (I’m still trying to figure out the best way to do this assisstlessly).

And are there any actual ways to ‘frametrap’ with tron? Her normals are too slow or multi-hitting to pressure outside of ending in s.H -> f.H and then dashing up or jumping forward again. I feel like people with quick normals like Spencer, Mags, Wesk, Task etc are especially good at this type of pressure and I’m curious to see if Tron has an analog of her own to try.

The only thing I can really think of that might work as a frame trap is st.L xx Gustaff flame - according to the frame data, it’s a perfect 3-frame trap. I’ve never tried it - you should go for it.

My mentality is that if they’re at that range, you might as well go for a throw. If they’re getting scared of the throw, bring out the low, and vice versa.
