Maybe with infinite super meter but in a real match when you land a CC on your enemy, you only have one super bar for your DM and that’s it. So I really don’t understand your argument here.
One can only wait and hope
No, that’s what we were talking about, he wanted to be able to stock DM’s but have the CD counter use up meter, but at the same time only make it so you can only activate one DM during a CC, I never knew of opportunities to combo back into a DM in a CC.
glad someone gets what i’m saying… i think that’s a very good way to evolve on the CC for XIII… and 1 DM is boring like sf4… so i say bring back 3 DM stocks available and return SDMs… i wanna see clark’s LDM from 97/XI in HD…!
btw an example of multiple DMs in 1 CC…
with Ralf CC, qcb+C, DM, 3A, qcb+C, C+D, qcb+C, C+D, qcb+C, DM…
with Ryo CC, dp+A, DM, dp+A, dp+A, C+D, qcb+DD, DM…
more than 1 DM on a combo (cc) would be idiot to my point of view… a combo and the opponent is dead… where is the fun? there is no KOF ever where there is this possibility (except some BC in kof2k2and some kof98/97),but that’s it)
That’s why he mentioned there being a limit on using one DM in a CC as a countermeasure…
CD counter using meter would most likely drastically decrease turtling (Using up Meter for that kind of damage is only good in a desperate situation)
ya how it used to be… snk needs to start listening to fans a lot more… capcom listened to the fans played smart too and look what happened… sf4 just revived 2d fighting games from the ever growing shooting games… even though the system sucks balls compared to kof12 or even bb… they gave fans what they wanted… snk needs to understand their fans specially outside of japan honestly with the new awesome graphics all they needed to do is hold out for 1 more year and sell a complete game with good online…
man i guarantee if they just used bb’s line art and just finish all the characters and story and put bb’s ggpo online netcode in this game would’ve seen sells a lot more… and they could even do what ssf4 is doing… seriously …capcom knows marketing …they put in fan favorites …add 2 ultra per character …create like 1 new character …and ask for $60+ from their fans in less than 1 year …and i bet it will sell like crazy too what i’m saying is yes as much as i love and admire snk’s hard work… wth is the point when no one will play it…
damn i pick 98um over xii any day… unless xiii offers the fans what they want snk is going to go bankrupt very soon… love from 10000 hardcore fans don’t earn enough money snk… u need the millions of casual or n00bs to make a name for urself… and i do not mean by any means that u should throw away ur loyal fans… snk just needs to find a happy go lucky medium that’s affordable and profitable without selling out… after u have a huge fan base then slowly start changing and evolving the system to be more complicated and support the hardcore fans more… but by then the n00bs r already hooked and will buy the game no matter if they can even play well or not…
wow i don’t know y i posted such a long post …xiii better get it right
You should edit that. Looks like a wall of text that was badly put together.
Welcome to the American gaming scene where everyone wants the game catered to them…lol
I never said I was against new shit. I liked quite a few things from XII, and some things I didn’t like. It was a suggestion to bring the 98 system to XIII, but if SNKP can do even better, great. So don’t get pissy. Then again, SRK is the paradise for Trolls, so I will likely continue to be mocked for having any kind of opinion on anything.
The truly sad thing, is that XII could have been a success had SNKP put some real effort into it: Including an actual boss, solid online play, Time Attack mode, Challenge Mode (like in the UM’s), a training mode that teaches combos like in SF4, maybe some other weird mode or two. Then Bam! It wouldn’t have sold in the millions of copies, but it probably would have sold well and established a real following. All of these things could have been easily done.
I like how alienated kids here are.
Game took 4 years to make. They hired freelancers from all over just so they could have more people working on the game. What’s “effort” in your book? A 2D fighter that doesn’t exist, clearly, because XII was the most expensive 2D fighter, and the one that took the longest to make.
Complain about shitty planning, bad choices, 480p sprites, whatever. But lack of effort? Grow up. They released the game because they had no choice. They fucking cancelled three games due to how much time and money they spent in XII!
Get a job someday and you’ll understand how it works.
I was referring to the lack of features on the console version and how it obviously failed you, fucktard.
That… Doesn’t change anything, they still tried as hard as a sane company in their position could, that is pretty much what “effort” means.
Again, KOF XII is a platform to work with, if the basic game engine is well received, there are always room for improvements. Just like SF series.
Gameplay is pretty much close to perfect for me. There are a few minor things I would change here and there, but the gameplay is solid.
More modes, trophies, and options don’t really interest me. But I would like to see this roster grow, and some of the underdeveloped characters receive larger movesets.
