Alright guys, I need some help for Showdown. I need people to come up with some badass designs for T-shirts. Don’t worry about words or logos. Send the images to me in photoshop format at Ranma0005@gmail.com Post up a JPEG in this thread and I wanna hear people talk about what they like. Winning designer will get shit for winning.

Comments by Javi: If you have previous T-shirt design experience, then try to keep the colors at a minimum (4 is optimal). In addition, try to keep the colors separated in different layers, in CMYK format. This will reduce the eventual cost of the T-shirts being made.

Deadline is in 1 month, January 7th, 2005.

Hell yeah T-Shirt contest. I agree with Jaime in it would help if you put the logo up for us to use. Also is there a limit to color or size? I should have mine up within the coming week.

EDIT: Also is there a color for the T-Shirts (hopefully black cause its easier to work with) cause that would help also? I already got the front logo made for the shirt but i used a black bg to help me cause i dont know the shirt color. Ill modify it to accompany white but I think black shirts are easier to make something look good.

Well it will include a T-shirt with the design, posters, tags, and some other stuff to be named later(ie. Haven’t been bought yet)

Keep in mind, the TS5 logo is forthcoming and will be supplied by the end of the month.

You make the T-shirt in what ever color you want. That will be included in the final design.

Allright, I got some questions/requests. Can we come up with our own logo? Seriously, I have some bad ass ideas in mind, that I see being sweet as fuck. What kind of printing method are ya’ll using for the shirts? That way I know how complicated to get with the design. I mean, it’s kinda hard to make something really really nice when ya’ll are just like make us a nice showdown shirt, and we won’t give you any requests or guidlines. So just let me know. thx.

I insist that all designs include the same logo (in which I will design). That way, we can maintain a level of consistiency among the website, and anything produced (merchandise, posters, etc.)
I will try to get you the exact details on creating a design sometime next week.

Is there a logo yet? Im almost done with mine. Going with a SF theme. I barely saw the edit on the first post so I had to redo it in CMYK. And I changed it to a luminosity blend so this way it has very few colors with the background. I uncluded the logo i made to see if its okay. If not then ill just use yours but mine is uncluded just to show.

Oh yeah I used black in the bg cause for my shirts Ill be using black shirts. So here is my logo.

I’ve decided you can be a bit flexible in your designs for the T-Shirt logo.

HOWEVER: I require that all logos use the D3 Egoistism font.
You may get the font at http://www.dafont.com/en/search.php?nq=1&q=egoistism

The words “Texas Showdown 5” and “Houston, Texas” must be included.
The words "The premier texas tournament is optional.

I would like the state of Texas to appear, but only on the front side of the T-shirt (as the logo design will probably be pretty plain)

You may use any color you want. Try to keep all designs within a 4-color scheme. Vector art is optimal.

I will include the examples that may go in the front of the T-shirt.

Alright thanks for the info. Gotta redo my design I had seeing as the font dont go with it but thats cool. Ill have mine up by the 7th for sure.

EDIT: Quick question um is the long logo just another example or do you want that on the back?
