Held for future info

Minor note, Injustice will be held on 360 instead of PS3.

Super Smash Bros Melee and Project M have been added to the side games lineup

We have added MvC2, CvS2, 3rd Strike, ST and Alpha 3 in an event we call, the Stargate Classic Pentathlon

Much like the actual pentathlon, this contest will feature five events. For this we are hosting tournaments for five of the classic fighting games of last generation, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Capcom vs SNK 2, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo.

The Pentathlon will be a contest to see who is the best in all the games. Entry fee for each individual tournament is $10. Players can decide whether or not to enter each tournament. The $10 tournament fee will be split up between $5 for the individual tournament prize pot, and $5 for the total pentathlon prize pot. Tournaments will be best 2/3, double elimination, 3/5 grand finals. Points will be given to all players towards the final ranking.

MvC2, CvS2, and 3S will be played on the PS3 digital download versions. ST and A3 will be played on CPS2 systems, boards supplied by Stargate Arcade owner Chris “Cmutt” Wong. Additional prizes for the pentathlon winners will be given by fashion blog http://www.wewearthings.com/ and others. MvC2, CvS2, and 3rd Strike will take place Friday night, while ST and A3 will be on Saturday.

This weekend is the end of our early bird pricing of $30 for the venue fee. After Friday, Feb 14, the price will be raised to $40 until the day of the tournament. Venue fee will be $50 at the door.

Last day to pre-register is March 29. After that, you will need to register at the door.

Then click here and vote for it to be the final official game added to the event!

Capcom will be bringing Ultra SF4 for attendees to play at Texas Showdown!

Guilty Gear AC+R and Street Fighter X Tekken 2013 have both been added to the lineup!

Online registration ends in 10 days! Else you will have to register at the door at the $50 venue fee cost!

Online pre-registration has ended. We will be taking onsite registration on Friday April 4, starting at 2pm. Registration for Friday games will end at 5pm, Saturday games will end at 10pm.

is no one streaming the CvS 2 or MvC 2 tourneys?

never played these games and watned to see them

Man this tournament was busted. I watched, but I didn’t know until later when a friend told me that it is run by shady people. Something about handing out SBO quals tickets one year to buddies instead of tournament winners.

Anyways, the stream quality for the first day on LevelUp was pretty bad. Not to mention their 1-4pm slot turned into a two hour slot. wtf? this is the most popular FG right now. And everything seemed to be running behind schedule. On the final day for BBCP, the Panda streamers showed up late. Every schedule seemed to run 1-2 hours behind.

Then we were told Ultra SF4 would be showed. It was even on their stream schedule, but nope. Not even a mention by the tournament runners to the stream watchers what happened.

There is no mystery as to why there was less than 100 people in the crowd on camera.
