Texas Republicans, the best state, the best party

lol legalizing random drugs won’t do shit for the economy…

The government has to create new local and state departments in order to regulate this shit… which requires employing people…

The money that can be used for other stuff will be much less than people estimate…

Drugs that are generally safe like marijuana, cool… even though legalization of drugs do encourage use…

But those amphetimine drugs, x pills(not that dangerous but still I guess this counts), etc. shouldn’t be legalized for the mainstream masses to start experimenting with…

Evidence based policy, for drugs.

Meth == bad
Marijuana == not nearly as bad as alcohol or cigs.

Others? Going to need evidence to figure that out, but it’s illegal so we cannot study it.

and keeping them illegalized is doing us any well. Have you not seen the shit storm that raging in Mexico and other Hispanic countries? Or perhaps you want something closer to home, where there is a huge problem with houses blowing up, or the issue about Toxic waste being dumped into our sewer/septic/environmental systems.

The burden of proof is not on me, its on you. 70+ years of failed drug legislation has cost the tax payer billions of dollars (more money than NASA has cost), thousands of lives, forcing individuals to engage with shady and dirty people, exposing individuals to needle related disease, screwing over other nations that have little or no real means to protect their citizens from the power of cartels, entices people to join gangs/cartels to make tons of money.

yeah, ill take the chance that there is a 5-10% increase in the druggie population all the while systematically disposing of half the problems I just listed.

If you ask me, your IQ is the one below double digits.

thank you

The solution is that the poor and middle class stop buying things that they can’t afford nor have any business in owning. Take responsibility for your own actions in life. Do you need a phone? Probably, do you need at $400 iPhone with a monthly plan in the hundreds of dollars a month (data, text, calling minutes, recharging that phone 25-30 times a month)? Probably not. Could that money then be used to pay for medications that you need? Definitely, could that money also be used to feed yourself and your family? Definitely. Do you need to eat out every day? No, could you save hundreds of dollars a month by eating healthier home cooked meals? Yes you can. Do you really need a large home with a mortgage in the 1600 dollars a month range? No, you’d get by much easier with a smaller home/apartment/condo.

If these families stopped buying all these luxury items and lifestyle they wouldn’t need government aid, they wouldn’t need loans with insanely high interests.

That however will in turn hurt the profits of companies and stockholders. Wanting to maintain their current profits they’ll start cutting hours from their employees/or just start laying off employees entirely.

Sadly there isn’t any way that I can think of to really solve this. If you have a monetary system then there will always be those on top and those on the bottom. With everyone looking to get more but never really attaining more because everything is just inflated upwards.

If you abolish any form of trade/monetary system. Where the manufacture and attainment of goods and services come at no cost at all. Civilization will stagnate and eventually decay. People need motivation to get jobs and perform them well. To improve themselves. Otherwise why would anyone pursue something that is difficult? When you get the same items/commodities regardless of your job? Why bother becoming a skilled doctor or technological engineer when the rewards are the same as if you clean car windshields? So then when everyone is defaulting on the easiest work then who will be the doctors? Who will make and innovate the computer industry? Robots? Then who will build and maintain those robots? How much will humanity decay when its being babied by these robots? Unable to fend for themselves or think for themselves?

Either way humanity suffers, and it’ll take someone much smarter than any of us to fix this problem which is inherent to our natural tendencies as human beings (lazy, and greed).

The thing is you weren’t asked directly genius. But let me take the word of someone who most likely gushes over the day the govt. gives free reign over drugs that can, will and does cause hallucinations and paranoia.

Just stop, you’re not only putting your ignorance on full display…you actually seem prideful in not knowing a damn thing.

Don’t thank me…I have no part in your dumbass Half Baked argument.

So maybe we need to find reliable ways to afford quality food. You say its cheaper to eat healthy home cooked meals. Sadly, no. For a lot of people, a 2 dollar hamburger is cheaper than a 2 dollar head of lettuce.

Next, maybe we need to impose limits on bills for cell phones, internet, etc. Texting is like 15 cents a message, yet is literally a free service for the phone companies. Europe and most of the rest of the world pays insanely less for their cell phone plans, why can’t we?

LOL. Large home with a mortgage? Some people are renters for life. You think people on minimum wage have mortgages?

The cost of living has gone up since the last few decades. We have more bills, more fees, and gas/food/entertainment costs more. During the great depression, it’s been said the only reason most people made it through, sane and alive, was because there was free entertainment. You could buy a tv, and pick up a station and watch that while you were broke. Now, thats virtually impossible with expensive channels, and digital cable.

lol do some research. You do realize before we used money, we used to use bartering? And you realize some cashless societies (Greece) has been experimenting with it again, with success.

Wow, how was your 1500th viewing of The Matrix? That has been an argument since the 1800’s. Hell, the entire Paul Bunyon folk story is based around machines out preforming man. Free education solves this.

no, we will need a new form of government. Either world wide, or national. I’ve stated since day one that we don’t get through this without a revolution or assassination.

How long will that 2 dollar head of lettuce last you? How long will that 2 dollar hamburger last you? Exactly.

American companies and stockholders want profit, so they’ll willing to vastly overcharge because people here have proven that they’ll pay for it. Regardless if there were more affordable options for them. Not to mention getting their children cell phones at a young age. Do you really need a cell phone? Will you be unable to get through life without one? That is a luxury item.

I was talking about people living fine in a smaller home that’s more affordable, but choosing to get a larger place to rent or own only to go broke in an attempt to pay for it and get foreclosed on.

News flash, even back in the 1940’s TV’s only had 3 channels. Those channels didn’t even air continuously throughout the day. It’d be on for a few hours in the morning. Then nothing would air until 3pm until 10pm. Then again nothing. So for a full day there wouldn’t even be 11 hours of footage on any of the 3 channels available. Which again proves my point. You don’t need expensive satellite, cable tv. You’d get by just fine with a regular CRT TV with a digital converter (which the government supplied free coupons for so you could upgrade without any cost to you). But everyone feels that its their right to own an expensive HD TV, with expensive cable/satellite bills. You don’t even need TV, you could easily get something cheap that’ll entertain you for free for years on end like a musical instrument.

Still essentially the same thing as a monetary system. So instead of earning euros and redeeming those for services and items. They’ve developed a barter note known as a TEM. Which people earn through services (like money), and can redeem for items or services (like money). The only difference is that its separated from the rich since the rich aren’t using these TEM notes. So whats going to happen when people move off the TEM and be reintegrated to the rest of society? What kind of conversion rate will they be facing? Likely the rest of the Europe won’t place a high value on this TEM and consider it fake money. Not realizing that the Euro is just as fake as the TEM. All Greece is doing is replacing one monetary standard for another. The basic concept is still the same.

people are lazy and greedy. Could you please tell me what keeps people motivated to push themselves when there is literally no external reason to do so? In a truly cashless society, where everything is free regardless of what it is. No bartering note, no commodity trading, no services trading, when you literally don’t have to do a lick of work to get the items you need to survive/live in luxury?

What kind of government do we need to solve this monetary crisis? Please explain to me how it’ll work, and how certain people won’t ever underachieve with it/how certain people won’t find ways to prosper/exploit others with it and everyone will always be the exact same.

You gonna eat the head of lettuce on its own, or probably in a salad with other vegetables, and dressing, etc?

No its not a luxury item. For most of the rest of the world with lower cell phone fees, it’s replaced their house phone. It hasn’t done that here yet because telecommunications companies like charging you for a home phone and cell phone. Alas, somebody is going to have to start losing money eventually, and citizens need it more.

lol wtf you really seem to think every poor person is rocking HDTV’s and satellite tv?

Still shows we don’t NEED currency and bank service charges for them to ‘look after’ my money.

a government that looks after the interests of its citizens, rather than small groups of corporate power houses. Don’t play dumb. Or are you just not playing?

Texas is Mexico spelled wrong. Also still salty for that 220 dollar speeding ticket. There’s all these (probably illegal) landscappers all over the highway in their slow, junky, falling apart unsafe trucks going 20 miles under in a 65 highway with glass, nails and god knows what flying out the back chipping my poor car, so I speed up to pass them, I GET PULLED OVER AND THE TICKET FOR SPEEDING despite the guy driving a car that probably failed inspection, going 20 under and has trash flying out

Felons already cant vote. Stop talking about that unless its about taking lesser crimes off the felony charge.

The Federal Voter Rights Act disallows people to conjour up bullshit ass reasons or methods like the poll tax to try to take keep certain people such as minorities from being allowed to vote. Texas wants to take that out.

The Drug Prohibition has been a goddamn failure. We need to decriminalize, de-stigmatize, regulate and tax drugs. You gotta have a system in place to make that work. Stop being scared of drugs just suddenly being everywhere cause they already are. This drug war has put so many harmless people in jail to get raped and come out angrier and more likely to re-offend and that costs states a lot per person in taxpayer money. Instead of just throwing addicts in jail and calling them wastes of life, why not call them people and try to help them? Put the harder drugs on the same pedestal as smoking and alcohol where its already well known how dangerous they can be but at least its regulated and taxed if people intend to sell it and can use the money thats saved from not throwing people in jail to go after those who try sell it to kids or without authorization.

Portugal has already decriminalized usage of all drugs and they have been allowing addicts to seek help while going after the sellers instead for 11 years now and it has crazy worked out for them. Usage is down, related crime is down, related disease is down. The answers for a lot of our problems can be found in other countries. We just have to actually look for them.

So who paid for that ticket?

Don’t forget about the stupidity of privatized prisons. You have rich fucks building them, then needing prisoners inside to make them that $$$. Thus, you have young pot dealers getting 2 year sentences left and right.

you’re not even giving prisoners proper prisons, or attempting to properly rehabilitate them. And they wanna bring this shit to Canada.

You could and it’d be healthier for you than a fast food hamburger. You could also buy a loaf of bread and the PB for 4 dollars and eat for the week. Buying hamburgers from a fast food place also tend to order sides and a drink. Bringing the total up several more dollars. Do that a few times a day and your up to 12 bucks a day. You can easily purchase 10-12 times the amount of meat for the for the same price as 3 hamburgers meals from mc donalds.

Do you need it to survive? No. Can you live life comfortably without a cell phone? Yes. It is by definition a luxury item. Especially since people tend to play games/apps on it rather than use it for its intended use. Making phone calls.

You were the one that brought up “expensive channels” from cable. and yes, the vast majority of people are rocking multiple HD TVs in their home,a long with an expensive service provider. Hence why the government forced the switch to a digital signal and offered coupons for converter boxes for those behind the times.

Newsflash, TEM is currency. Currency is generally defined as a medium of exchange. That’s exactly what those TEM notes are. a medium of exchange for goods and services. And the guy running the laptop which keeps track of your TEM is basically a bank. Lets see how long he goes before he starts charging interest for keeping your TEMs collated, and safe from hackers. All the greek barter system did was exchange one set of currency for another and replaced banks with an amateur running a laptop. Then soon enough people will start trying to live beyond their means and start trying to take out loans with the guy running the laptop. Guess what happens then.

That exactly is what Ron Paul was about, a texas republican no less. Who’d a thought? And no, I want a detailed explaination for how this government will work. Since you don’t want to vote for the guy that supports what you allegedly want. More specifically the economy.

Also to address something that I forgot before. But why should education be free? Those buildings need to be built, maintained and renovated which costs money. They need to be staffed by teachers, administrators and janitors which cost money. Those teachers, administrators and janitors need tools to perform their job which costs money. Students also need to get the supplies they need to learn which costs money. So exactly how and why should this be free? Someone has to pay for it. The money for it will not just appear out of thin air.

People who are incarcerated can’t vote. They also lose protection from work and housing discrimination. The law is much harsher towards minorities and the lower class so it’s pretty much institutionalized disenfranchisement. The likelihood of partaking in drug use is equal among the suburbs and urban areas but all the enforcement is focused towards urban areas. Crack cocaine use to have 100-1 disparity to powered cocaine, 2010 it is now 18-1.

Inflation happens REGARDLESS of the minimum wage. Raising the minimum wage to keep up with the inflation rate would be a good idea. Removing the minimum wage and letting them corps pay whatever would not stop, slow or reverse inflation.

Saying the US is colorblind and we no longer need laws to prevent discrimination (which these laws also prevent discrimination based on religion, gender, sexual preference, etc.) is horribly naive.

Lol that gladiator shit was crazy but what else can you expect from a racist ass state like fucking Idaho.

All that and more because of we have legalize bribery in our politics that has been escalated by the Citizen’s United decision that equates money into free speech. Allowing big money to have the biggest voice that we cant fight against. These rich cats just go in and influence elections by creating an environment where politicians have to whore themselves out for the elite’s interest or end up losing the election which creates a whole party and a congress that doesn’t actually work for the citizens but to protect the rich. Gotta overturn that shit with a new amendment proposed through a constitutional convention.

As a black male, I’d better be careful or I’ll be doing a 2 year stint for jay walking.

The way I look at it, letting the government run/regulate more shit would NOT be a bad thing. If you’re pissed off at high insurance costs, you sure as fuck can’t have the dudes in the company fired or vote another guy in. In government, if they start fucking around and let costs get out of hand, you elect somebody new.

Privatization has worked for NOTHING. Where I live, they privatized the liquor industry, so beer HAS to be bought at a place literally (and unimaginatively) called The Beer Store.

so yeah, they gave like 3 major FOREIGN beer companies control of our ENTIRE BEER MARKET, and then we were shocked and surprised when they took the ball and ran with it. We’ve been trying to end that shit ever since.

Note - every other fucking province lets you buy beer whereever you damn well like. In mine, I have to go to a Beer Store, and they also close around 6-10pm, so you’re fucked if you wanna buy beer at 1am after work.

that’s a valid point. my buddy once had to pickup his stepbrother from a meth lab. said stepbrother was a hardcore meth addict who frequently sleeps under bridges because he is homeless. stepbrother said he needed to pick up his car and needed a ride.

my buddy shows up at this house (he decided to bring his gf lulz), and as they enter the fenced in part a pack of pitbulls come out and start barking and growling and yapping. some guy with a giant scar on his head (hair is missing) tells the pitbulls to stfu. there is dog shit, and possibly human excrement everywhere on the lawn. they enter the garage where the meth addicts have set up shop, and there is even more excrement everywhere. they ask around for the stepbrother, and one the meth addicts, a guy who is really hyper and asking “HOWS IT GOING” while standing really uncomfortably close, point them to the stepbrother’s “room”. this “room” is nothing more than just some draped curtains over one corner of the garage.

well, they pickup stepbrother and exit the premises and drop off stepbrother at his car. stepbrother says thx and drives off. later turns out he had stolen that car from someone else. lulz.

In an ideal nation we could think like this, but since the world is full of retards we have to hold on to silly traditional views.
