while there were obvoiusly some things on that list of changes that were out of control (eg downplaying thomas jefferson and putting a positive spin on the confederacy), some of the changes represent valid points of view and shouldn’t be dismissed simply bcuz you disagree.
for example, what’s wrong with showing that mccarthy wasn’t actually completely crazy and that the soviets were actively trying to subvert american culture? i mean, the rosenbergs DID steal the bomb and soviet papers show a myriad of KGB plots to infiltrate hollywood and the politico. also title ix has had many unintended and unforseen negative consequences.
