this is my first post but I’m not sure where to really go from here. My TES+ is less than a year old and I haven’t used it in months(school). I plugged it in today to try out the season 2 changes and noted that the stick thinks the right direction is held. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting as well as disconnecting every single connector on the PCB except the PS button. Even with everything unplugged but the PS button the moment i click it, it goes to the main menu and immediately starts scrolling right.
What are my options as I checked Mad Catz warranty and its only 90 days. Unbelievable on a product that I spent nearly $300 CAD for.
Hmm, I don’t have any experience or the tools. This is my first time opening it up and haven’t dealt with PCB’s before. How would i remove the diode on the right signal line?
Ideally with a soldering iron. You could also break it off with force from a precision flathead, but this could risk damaging something else if you slip up.
I would give madcatz support a try anyway, tell them its a widely reported manufacturing fault.
Were spoiled here in Belgium with the law requiring two year waranty on electronics.
Hi @Gummo !
I have the same problem with my TES+. The Options (Start) button is held.
Do you know which diode i have to remove? I think its D8.
Thanks in advance
