So for everyone who was interested in the Tekken movie, I just got word from Squabbler, who has been in contact with some people at Malco, and the final say is that there will NOT be a Tekken screening in Memphis.
Before you get upset, it is because the format of the event, “Real3D”, is not supported by Malco in Memphis, they only do Dolby 3D. Thus, Malco literally does not have the equipment to screen this film. So there you have it.
Mad props to Squabbler for looking into this for the Memphis scene.

I thought opening one in Rivergate was kind of random. I know none of the details behind it though, so, yeah.
Providence in Mt. Juliet would be an awesome place for an arcade. It’s near several schools, the community is booming, it’s right off an exit, a huge neighborhood has been built nearby, etc.

It’s uh… a good place, yeah, and just happens to be where I live.
The boro has all the colleges and everyone knows what college kids like…DDR. You would make a killing off of DDR alone.
But it’s not random. When we were in Rivergate Mall before we made a ton of money but outside the mall lack of foot traffic is an issue.
Providence in Mt. Juliet would have the same problem, it’s not “indoor” where there is built in foot traffic. And…the rent is sky high there. Rent is cheap at Rivergate.
Rob wouldn’t go to Murfreesboro, that was the biggest hurdle, but even with all the “colleges” there, you need foot traffic. Take Retros right across the street from Austin Peay for example. No foot traffic if you can believe that.
