Ya I mean, love them or hate them, You Tube videos are what have allowed fighting games to evolve to such a high level so quickly these days but make no mistake, 95% of the players in this state have watched/studied game play videos extensively from high level players to get better. Nothing wrong with that, but trying to create your own style is a lot harder and that is going to have to occur in MK9, even if it boils down to just jump in high to low combos and uppercuts and projectiles from the end of the screen only, LOL
To those who play Magneto (MVC3), do you think he needs meter? I have Wesker as point, Haggar 2nd, and Phoenix as 3rd, and so far Haggar just isn’t cutting it when he’s point except against Ammy and X-23. I’m thinking of putting in Mags instead.

Finals were some epic shit between Bishop and Woot. Bishop’s She Hullk got more homo from what I’ve seen. It was nice to meet ya Woot. You have a really badass Dante. Thanks for the combos as well. Bad thing is I’m trying not to play Marvel in the next 2 weeks to get back into SF4 mode for ranbats. Or else Dax be like “I told you you would play Marvel within 2 days”
I think Mags is best when he can use meter, but that doesn’t make him a bad choice. He wouldn’t be the -best- on a strictly no meter team, but you have Wesker and Phoenix so you are using a stupidly good top tier team no matter who you use in second slot. Either way, Mags BUILDS meter like nobody else, and Wesker NEVER needs it to do tons of damage. If you are good with Wesker, there will be plenty of matches where you will be taking out the whole team with just him, and if that happens you’ll realize it and just decide to start burning meter to finish off the team with him and Mag DHCs.
I think he came with Adrian actually but I didn’t catch his name sadly.
Fenix: Mag w/ Phx works just fine. He builds so much meter in combos for Phx that you will prolly see Dark showing up sooner. Add in using TAC and you should have no problem getting to five bars. Plus if Phx gets snapped in and killed you still have Wesker/Mags which works awesome together.
nah, not about Tekken. It was mainly about MvC3 and MK, and a lot of people are already complaining about SFxT when it’s like not even beta stages and that kinda sheetz

A lot of people already do play MVC3, it’s MK9 out here no one seems to care about, so it’s going to come down to it having to be built up again like Tekken…
Most reviews and such say 9 > 10. I didn’t get to play 10 but I thought 9 was awesome. Prolly one of my top 4 of all the old school style ones easy.

I talk shit about all kinds of fighting games all the time but anyone that knows me well enough will tell you i will play a fighting game even if i don’t really like it much to support the scene and I will support anyone that plays what they love most,that’s just me. I never liked sf4 much at all but played it for months on end and tried to get good to give ppl comp and support the scene because ppl here love playing ssf4. Marvel 3 came out,was excited for the game,realized it was a piece of dog shit,drop it or tried to anyways lol but i stick with it because the game is still fun and most ppl play that here so i just play it for fun and give ppl comp.Mk9 just feels too stiff for me to get into serious but i will support it and play it cause it’s mortal fucking kombat and because i’m sure some will play it.
We all have our personal preferences in fighting games but all shit talk aside and jokes aside there’s no need to discourage a community for trying to build a scene for a particular game but that’s never the case in the tn thread. Learn to distinguish between a serious post and a troll post and i always troll when i say something stupid and funny it’s just who i am but i will always help support a scene as much as i can and that’s real talk.
