lol derp. Haters gonna hate, and ya’ll are now the haters. and GDBell, I swear the only time I ever see you post is when you try to piggyback onto someone elses conversation. You’re like that dude in Trading Places that would always go YEAH when his boy was talking shit.
And trolls are gonna troll. What’s your point?
Are people too stupid to give the players breathing room? Surely theater ropes aren’t the only option. Those things get cumbersome after a while. Couldn’t the TO simply specify to give players plenty of space? The players themselves can also request more space (which I’ve done several times).
EDIT
I hate that that happened to you, Jas. Good job on the commentary though, and great job to all of the TN people who represented us.
Lord Jas: If everyone thinks I’m a douche that’s fine, all I have to say is look at the people saying it. All I am saying is making excuses is wtf. Anyone in this scene knows that, you make yourself look bad, how that makes me a douche doesn’t make any sense. Play the game and let your game do the talking. Everyone drops combos and makes mistakes at times.
Gdbell: You don’t know anything about how a tournament is supposed to be run properly. You can’t really chime it on here about it or assume you know about this stuff going on. No one is “hating” on other tournaments. I am just surprised that people don’t run through these precautions with bigger tournaments.
LOL, I love how shit gets turned around on me when this was about the tournament not seeding properly and people making excuses when they lose. I’ve done quite a bit trying to get a community started up in here but haters are gonna hate I suppose.
or you dash in and try to grab Johnny Cage out of his parry animation. SF is not MK ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
Astaroth: You’ve been to tournaments. You’ve seen the people that go there. People are rude, obnoxious, and they get close to you, in your face, talk to you while you are playing, take flash photography while you are playing; etc. I would say yes, people do need to have a barrier at bigger tournaments because they won’t listen. You have to deal with unruly people who won’t show up on time, smell; etc. List goes on and on.
Sucks what happened with Lord Jas, I would have said something or tried to get ample room but that shit does happen, that’s why you need barriers for crowds…
Yep, welcome to MK.
lol this guy. The Dream dickrider! This comment is really lol. Also, I posted that comment before Jas made his feelings known so…yea.
mhmmm. I just find it hilarious actually that everytime someone may or even may not have an issue at said tournament you go on and on about how “inefficient” these “hype” tournaments are. lol Like you are the only one capable of running a decent tournament.
“Everyone wants to go to these hype tournaments?” = sounds like a bitter person.
Also major lol at you trying so hard to get a community established here. I don’t know about Nashville, but I am pretty sure Memphis would still have the same core group of players without you Sir Dream. I do believe the game is what brings the people together, not one said person. But w/e. I’m done “trolling”. lol
not so much. Jas posted at 4:16, you posted 3 minutes later. You know, it doesn’t even matter. You still haven’t even made good on that challenge I tossed at you threads and threads ago. You think Rog BnB’s are tough shit, you try SO HARD to educate people on a game you can’t really play. It’s a running joke now. You’re a running joke. I got nothing but love for Jas, dude is funny as shit, can play like a motherfucker, and is pretty much the WHAT AN ANSWER guy now. I have nothing for you bro.
Stay Puft, GDBell.
Uuuuuuuuuugggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Well, I guess its officially a TN thread now.
Yep.
Moving on, Abe… I got a present for you. Justin Wong was playing Thor during casuals and doing a pretty good job of wrecking people (though Jas beat him once and I almost took him out twice myself) with a team consisting of Thor/Hsien-ko/Chris. I asked him why he went with that, and he said he was goofing off with a friend the other day and picked a team he thought would be really bad together, but it turned out to be pretty good. Anyway, I later caught up with him and asked if he’d go into training mode and show me some of the combos he was doing, and he did. I managed to capture some of it on my phone. It’s really shitty quality, but I at least hope you’ll be able to watch it and tell what’s going on.
Where were you during MBO? Running Dream’s arcade?
You said you would come to Memphis, I’m here homie. So whenever you can make it down, I just may make good. That’s if I deem you worthy at the time. lol! Just as much as you have no respect for me, I have none for you. You are a bigger troll in this thread than I am. You are the same guy that plans on playing MK9 on a competitive level. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
KABAL ALL DAY SON!
Stay slaw Storyteller.
Honestly. The sad part is you trying to be such a part of this community you have to talk mad shit while players are playing in 5 vs 5 matches that you aren’t involved in to try and make YOURSELF part of something you aren’t. Your gameplay isn’t making it. You try and shittalk against other people. That’s fine, but you’re making yourself look worse and worse each time you post.
Everyone wants to go to these hype tournaments = people not knowing how the tourney is run and they come back a little peeved. What would I be bitter about? Running a tournament is extremely stressful, I want people to have a good time, if anything I am upset that people are getting shafted because of things like this.
Frankly, you have never really traveled for tournaments. You know absolutely NOTHING about them. You haven’t been to any of mine, larger scale or small scale, and you haven’t really even set foot out of anything from your own area. I mean, if you went to ARK that would be your first, right?
You have no authority on anything. You’re talking out of your ass yet again. People know how you feel about me, that’s great. You just don’t like hearing the truth so you shutter back to what you are doing.
As far the “community”, I’m taking about getting tournaments/players to Middle Tennessee for comp. I am pretty certain the fact Game Galaxy even exists is enough for something like this. I’m not talking about “me”, the saddest part is you really think I shittalk or something. If you have never met me in person, you can’t really say anything, this is about the players and getting them tourneys and places to play and new games to play…we had Blazblue, T6, SFAE before anyone; I mean, we had an SBO qualifier out here, that’s something that hasn’t even been done before in TN and with Kumite and SBO and MWC, TN has some good upcoming stuff for out of towners to look forward to. Where were you? Oh, that’s right. Armchair game athlete again, talking shit sitting in your chair not doing anything other than complaining about things you don’t know about or understand.
We’ve been down this road before. You’ve been wrong on everything possible in this and many other epic TN threads. Why you keep getting involved in things that do not concern you makes absolutely no sense.
LOL, I have never seen someone so ignorant in my life.
On many occasions Memphis players have always said you are not to be taken seriously as how the Memphis scene is viewed just because of how inane your posts are and you try so hard to be a part of the community.
Best part of this whole thing is no one attacked you or brought you up, this was about tourneys (which you don’t know much about or how to run them) and Lord Jas getting stepped on during his matches.
Unless you were Kool Aid manning it through the wall at the tourney and stepping on his hands and the one responsible for running that tourney, I think we’re done here.
Okay, going to buck the trend here and say that Dream has a point. I agree that players should have space and breathing room, but we all know with venues and spacing and such, it’s not always possible to the extent that we would like. I do agree with Dream that some sort of organization to avoid what happened to Jas from happening again. Say what you want, Dream does have extensive experience running these things, what he said makes sense to me.
Jas, I personally think you should have called match interference, but I KNOW why you didn’t do it.
Afierydude, I know it sort of sucks for Jas to say he lost because of such and such, but think of it from this end. You get bumped multiple times, and you call match interference, and you win a match you were previously losing. If he had called for a rematch because of interference and beat you, then I’m sure you might be saying some similar stuff, like how he only beat you because you lost your groove from having to restart etc. I already know Jas didn’t want to come off like a complainer and so he let it roll. Should he have? Maybe, maybe not. You or I may have reacted differently, but it is what it is, Jas himself said he’s salty but he’s just gonna try and forget about it.
SmokeMaxx. Good tourney, but shit happens. Thanks for addressing the issue and please look out for TN again next year, and please no more Tonamento, lol.
Duckie: Thanks man, I look forward to the footy. Thanks for looking out for me. I hope you made some bank.
Indeed we are.
Dream has done so much for the TN community that anyone talking shit about him comes across as real pathetic. You think he’s hating on other tourneys because he wants to you come to his? He’s giving you guys solid advice here, trying to improve how things are done… If he was in it for himself he’d be *entering *all these tourneys
Six flags was fun.

A few things about Dream:
-
I used to not like him until I started working with him from a business perspective. Meeting him changes everything. You suddenly understand “Dream-Speak” and everything makes sense at that point. He’s a good guy and an asset to the community.
-
He runs the smoothest tournament brackets ever. Period.
Moving on, I uploaded the video. Sorry for the poor quality, but my phone was all I had on hand.
