Abe Lars/AK is my team I played it most the night but yeah I have few characters I like to fuck with so I’ll play em in casuals
@ Joseph: Yea, you definitely have to be on your toes vs Dimo. He can squeeze a devastating launcher or beefy poke out of any crack in your offense or defense. And he plays 3 characters where you just absolutely have to be a better player than him at all times or die. Quickly.
We need to get a set in (preferably offline) before KiT. I know you’re messing around with like 4 characters. If you really intend to upset some people, I think you need to spend the remaining time on just your main squad. So that you’ll be good and settled with them in punishing and maximizing your combos within your comfort level. Then you’ll be able to move on to the more crucial stuff. You grasp fgs pretty fast, especially 3D ones. Just get Kuni and one other between Asuka/Anna/Lili on lock. Once you’re doing all surface level shit, you can go deeper.
@ Charlie: Yea, Lei is beastmode in TTT2. He’s too strong at times. No Lei player has anything to complain about anymore at all. If they do, their a fucking idiot.
GGs to Josh, Abe, Derek, Kenny, and Adrian last night. Josh has gotten better each time we play, he just needs chara experience and to come out to gatherings. Kenny too. Derek and Adrian, fuck y’all.
@ Abe: Haha there are no “levels”. I was just playing random teams I fuck with and struggling with that pad pretty bad lol. Your knowledge is strong as always but in certain situations you tend to freeze, which is natural. This doesn’t mean that you should be offensive constantly, but the good thing is that you are aware of when. And they’re small. Only thing you need is the usual, to play more offline and come to gatherings. On another note, the pressure game you were running with AK, I think you should become accustomed to as Julia. He’s so well-rounded and balanced now, he can be anything for any style. Julia is like the best of both worlds now too, but I wouldn’t hang back with her as much as you do. That’d be my AK’s predominant role. To sit back, chill and punish, or do whatever I need him to. I think you’d have more success overall if you get Julia going more. You can still run AK first because he’s good at everything as well as breaking down and exposing people. But when Julia comes in, get her going. People already fear her, they’re looking to punish what they can. But don’t let them get hands on her and get a knockdown where you’re tempted to get up with hopkicks or something. Even though that works, she gets punished harder than most for hers.
Anyway, I think you need to strictly consult Rell for both of those characters as he plays the best AK and Jaycee imo. Even more than the true Jaycee players. Some kind of way, you should try to find time to get a set with him. Just playing him in mirrors would do more for you than anything else.

I know Ian and Dimo have heard me say this… but I might have to drop Angel soon. I am having so much trouble against players who go back in the shell and play ultra safe especially when Angel is in… she is so bad. I still love her, though, so I’m trying to work on new stuff. Maybe I commit the ultimate sacrilege against Ian and go back to one of the Changs…
Go with Heihachi man! or Paul…or both. Heihachi has insane lows.

I hear about people ragging on Angel. I still don’t fully comprehend what the big problem is. But I guess why use her when you can play DJ. He’s the best Mishima imo.
And as Dimo said, if you feel that way why not go back to your older characters? Heihachi is a powerhouse and best chara in game to some(they’re dumb. DJ is better than Hei). And Paul is an easy-mode monster with more options than he’s ever had. You know how good Bruce is.
You still main Jin right? If so, don’t drop him ever. If you throw Paul on, that’d be a super legit squad. Me, Rell, and Ronald(Gilgamesh) were in the lab with that team a week ago. They got some great shit together.

P.S. Hei’s lows are not “insane” but, you simply do not want to duck against him. And the damage from d/b+2 is kinda hefty. He also has mixups from 2nd hit of hellsweep, but it’s probably the weakest hellsweep in terms of usage. But anyway if you guess right and block Hei low, then he gets launched. So his mid/low game is largely a mind thing. You can stand to not block low against Lars kinda, and mostly same thing for Hei except, d/b+2 pokes hurt. And that shit adds up. But he’s risking it. I still would prefer not to duck against him, yet I’d opt to remain out of d/b+2 range. Only problem with that is when the f,f+2s start coming out…
