Since I can see nothing about this on the Bison forums, can MGB punish EX PC on block point blank? Also can reversal Ultra I punish EX PC point blank?
Since I’ve never played the matchup honestly I would like some quality input on it. I know some characters have no options without ultra to punish it at point blank, but again it’s easily baited, especially since dudley has a 3 frame move to OS with.

WellTallX, since you asked…you’re attacking too much…you have to play the game slower which I know can tough if you are used to MVC2 but because you are so offense oriented you don’t block as much…
Also, and this is the number 1 reason why people lose to people they think are not as “good” as they are…You have to learn to adapt to your opponent’s style. If someone can beat you with two buttons because you only play one way, you have to learn to play in multiple fashions against different types of opponents.
You have:
Spammers (people that press the same button/do the same move over and over again)
Flailers (people that go buck wild on the game and are very unpredictable and unorthodox)
Pattern Players (people that rely on one or two patterns that beat 80% of people, but not the top players)
Doers (people that do wake up moves all the time)
Scrubs (true definition of this term, people that think they know a bunch about the game (more than they actually do) and have a decreased ability of skill. These can also be known as mall scrubs for the standard term, albeit derogatory it may seem, this is what it actually means, not as in people who are easy to beat.
Combos (people that will get you with crazy combos with 1 jab, but that’s about it)
Sweepers (people that do sweeps all day)
Runaways (RUNAWAY, RUNAWAY to SAVE YOUR LIFE) 99% of the time spent running away and doing moves that go Up/Back
Turtles (defensive oriented players)
Aggressive Turtles (defense plays as the offense with these players, i.e, walk forward slowly and know what to do in every counter/defensive situation
Churners (lovingly known as people that spin the joystick wildly with Zangief/T Hawk)
You Tubers/X Copiers (people that try all the crazy shit from watching videos from Japan or past tournaments, but don’t have their own style)
Rushers (All offense, hardly any defense, a lot of times these players forget to block)
There’s obviously more, but this is what I thought of off the top of my head…
If you can recognize the type of player your opponent is, that is the key to winning against them because in tournaments it’s about adaptation…

Yeah mgb can punish your ex pc but it has to be mp. Ultra1 can also punish but I’d rather go for for combo damage and anti air.

Nice post Mr. Wilson, particularly what I have bolded there. That has always been my understanding of the term so I always hated it when people called newcomers or players that weren’t as good “scrubs” despite them not having the scrub mindset. There’s also this thing as of late with calling certain characters “scrubby” which I don’t understand either given this definition.
Dunno how many people here read s-kill’s domination 101 series, but he addresses this and a lot of other issues in the fighting game community. Really good reads.
Nor do I see him on the NBA Jam arcade list. Tragic…(but lol at more for NBA Jam than Marvel 2…yes…die Marvel 2, usher in Marvel 3…yesssss).

That’s actually what we went in, was hoping bryce woulad got 3rd to rep that inversion xD. I’m trying to dress goofy for tournaments now, takes away alot of the stress for me.
