Agreed. I was beaten once at a BlazBlue tournament by Lord Jas, who’d only been playing the game for a week (but as we all know is a damn good MvC2 player). I was so pissed that I was put out by a guy who didn’t even like the game, until I realized that he beat me because his fundamentals were on so much of a higher level that he would have simply beaten me at everything due to him being a much better player, plain and simple.
So who cares that Majin doesn’t play/practice/like SF4? It doesn’t discount the fact that he’s a good player. Granted, his lack of dedication to the game is starting to show, but hating the game doesn’t mean he isn’t a better player than those he beats. Just get over it and get better… it’s not like the gap is a huge as it used to be anymore.

This is the last time I’m gonna chime in on the whole thing about best TN players but let’s get this clear:
The top 3 SF players in TN (from what’s been discussed) are Cylus, Dream, and Majin - 2 self declared retired players and a guy who doesn’t even like the SF4 series. Based on the logic most people are using, we all should hang our heads in shame.
Majin likes Tekken and GG. So he wins at those and that’s ok? Fuck that. Where’s the Tekken outrage? Where’s the GG outrage? None cause he likes those games? WTF? He’s good at those also. He wins. Like or dislike. He gets it done. If Majin sucked at SF4, he would never touch it, I’m too certain of that.
I don’t wanna hear “I’m a Tekken player and you beat me in SF so it don’t matter” crap. If you playing a game, you are trying to win or learn to win. Not so someone can give you another pat on the back for another loss. I don’t care what someone’s alliance is. If you beat me, I’m gonna remember that and try to kick your ass next time.
For example, Dream played me a good deal the last two weeks on Live and kicked me around over and over. I wish we could play offline cause I think I would fair better, but he gave me loads of experience with all sorts of characters. I’m thankful for that because he is a patient player with great fundamentals and super solid defense that takes a long time to crack. He is helping me get better. I take the loss and learn.
I don’t want to hear no more bitching about that though man. Get better. Share info. Make friends man. This other stuff is seriously going too far. If someone better,they are but don’t call out Memphis SF players for not beating Majin at a game he doesn’t like when guys aren’t beating him in games he likes either.
On another note, Cylus please make a note to play me next time you are in town. I haven’t played against you since March because everyone wants to play you for an hour when they sit next to you :tup: . I was shell shocked when we played because I had never seen someone back dash so much. It was like you were using a Game Genie or something.

Me and Whisky do not get along very well!!! Just don’t really like the taste nor does it go well with my stomach. After drinking whiskey, I literally wake up, go straight to the potty and basically drop a dookie through a screen door it seems. Its like an anal eruption of spoiled chocolate milk or something! haaaaaaahahahahhahaha!
The Sacred Nectar of the Gods (jagermeister), has to be my favorite liquor ATM. I can say that Squabb introduced me to Propel and Vodka which is quite good! But there is nothing like a Jager Bomb. They get you nice and drunk! Now, you wanna get sloppy drunk, Oil Slicks are the way to go!
Another good, cheap, mixed drink that I like is, Bacardi Limon and Coke! It’s got a nice taste and the effect is also nice!
As girly as this may sound, and trust me! I hate girly drinks!.. This waitress at our local Pub would bring around these Jello shots that were AMAZING, called Cherry Poppers! Half a shot of vodka actually in the jello and there was a cherry inside of them injected with Vodka aswell! 2 of those little bastards and everything mellowed out!
After a long, stressful day at work, Don Julio is always there to help a brutha out. Don Julio and Fresca(carbonated, grapefruit drink) are the shizznit aswell! Any tequila with a grapefruit cola is bomb!
Hangover remedies…
If you are not too plastered and remember to pop 2 advil before sleepy time, that should help out the following morning.!
If that don’t work,
1 BC Powder in the morning should help out a bit.
If your still dying,
Clamato Juice and a corona should do the trick!
If all else fails,
12 ounces of Sparkling Water of your choice…2 limes w/o the peel… some hotsauce…and a few pinches of salt all blended together should do the trick!!! Remember to close your nostrils while drinking this!
Now,
if all of the above did not work, you might as well get drunk again cuz thats the only other option!
Ha! I laugh at hangovers! Never had one actually. I tend to drink more than others too. Fine, we each get to call one liquor we absolutely WILL NOT DRINK! Yours is whiskey, mine is vodka. I HATE vodka. The taste of it is worse than straight up everclear. I’ve tried straight Jager and hated it, but I’ll try a Jagurbomb. I at least like to try something before I say I hate it.
About the fruit thing, if you get a watermelon, punch a hole in it and fill it with your choice of liquor (most prefer vodka for some odd reason :P) then freeze it for 2 hours. Take it out and the liquor will be absorbed. Final step—> Eat said melon. PROFIT! Heard it gets you drunk FAST and really your not even “drinking”. We need to try this next time.
O and random moment. We all need to have a drinking game of SSF4, but with dumb rules. For example, no blocking… AT ALL, if you lose you take a shot, or FA, light normals, supers, and ultras only.

I find a good hangover solution is a Big Bacon Classic from Wendy’s. All of the grease coats your stomach. If you drink a bunch of water before you crash and resign to pissing during the night it should help.

We have never played dude. And I must admit, I don’t come to gatherings because I can’t right now. I have said that numerous times, however, I have been called out as being into “online play” only, yet when I do come and play offline face to face some people here its just kinda like “really?”

I will keep this as civil as possible as people’s blood pressure levels are extreme. When I made my post here, sure I was trying to offend but not on a personal level. I honestly don’t know why chithappens took what I said personally because I keep all comments on a street fighter level. I don’t really cuss on here due to my faith and cussing tends to put off the vibe that you want to get physical or something…just me. Im not calling people a pussy or bitch and saying you suck in life or anything of that nature. As most of the Memphis players know, personally I’m very easy to get along with. I will say what I feel but I’m not in the business of taking things to a personal level.
And I honestly don’t know why people are soooooooo offended that I’m calling people out. Like I have said before, just beat me and I go back to being docile. People here think I’m free, ok cool. Im not going to get blazing angry because I have been called free. that is just motivation to get better in my eyes and if I lose all these MMs after doing all this calling out, fine! I’m still shaking everybody’s hand and saying good game bro and I will walk away looking and feeling stupid. But I will not leave the scene because of it. I will take my L’s, keep supporting the scene and try and get better. I believe this would be quite the contrary for most of the people here in Memphis.

However, it is no denying that we are heavily dependent on Majin in Memphis. I mean just look at what people say on here when the TN’s best discussion comes up. It is disturbing.

Arson and Graham: The reason I am not doing one on both the 3rd and 10th is because of precisely what happened with the last one…we had 8-10 less people AND we had out of towners there and we still had 14 people only, so because of people not coming, I can’t just keep doing the tournaments each and every week if people don’t show. I understand people have jobs and stuff so the best I can do is just run them every 2-3 weeks and that’s the case with the one on the 3rd…
