Honestly, I was saying the same thing watching it because other than players from the far East or West coast, it was free, no lie. You had well known names like Mike Ross, Valle, Marn and Buktooth but that top 16 had me watching like … Dream could take them out, Cylus, Bishop (if he ever learns how to block in SSF4 LOL), Majin, Sev, Lycan, Woot, Raven, Me (I’m sure I would say the same of the Nashville folks but I haven’t played most of you). Only a few players I didn’t name before top 16 even had decent showings. Watch it for yourself.
That playing online comment is probably not a boast. I said the same thing because my internet is off and I’m borrowing a connection each time I’m online until I get my apartment in August. Maybe he’s busy, shrug.
I don’t know if he thinks he is outright, no question, the best player in the state. That title is only up for grabs by three players currently in my eyes and that’s Dream, Cylus (or is he repping MS), and Majin. The order may be in question but those have to best the first three names.
4th place is def up for grabs by anyone. :wgrin:
Edit: If you guys do this TN Civil War, I will make sure I’m there and MM a few folks for good measure. I played Shawn forever ago, played Jason, Mek, and I think that’s all from Nashville. I need to get acquainted with the rest of you guys also.

Dream: Well in woosticks defense, he is a pretty humble guy…like REALLY HUMBLE and laid back. He wrecked me in casuals and just kept things encouraging. He is also one of the few people on THIS forum that gives helpful advice. Even more helpful than yourself and you are like “SIR KING STREET FIGHTER NO ONE CAN BEAT ME OWWWWW”. As Sev said, homeboy made like top 40 at final round so don’t sleep on his skills. I would put money on him beating all your guys except Shawn because Shawn is just ridiculous with Dhalsim. As for the match between you and Cylus, if it ever goes down…$50 on Cylus. I know you are good, no doubting that. I just think Cylus can beat you.
Sev: As for the local money matches, well my friend I think we all know who I want money matches with and as Flymike said, these matches must go down someday. Everyone knows who I want so both of them, first to 5, $50. I have no doubt in my mind I can take one and pretty confident about the other if I pick Sagat. So there, its out there…again. And I would like to MM you…later this year once I level up my Dudley! lol FT 5 $20 sometime this fall. I don’t want to be too free!
All in All, I think the Nashville v Memphis MMs should be fun. From the short time I have been in the scene, it is to my knowledge that Nashville is consistently better than Memphis. But I think Nashville will be kinda surprised because people here have been leveling up so you guys may be slick salty after the matches! Indeed we shall see.
