I was gonna ask about times actually. While I can’t be pro and have people here from night to early morning like I would like to, what with family and all that, so I just took the 9 hours (7 PM - 4 AM) that we had at your place and moved that shiz. I mean people totally don’t have to be here at 1 PM or anywhere that early, I just set that so that there would be a ton of time before I had to kick you guys out. I figured that most people wouldn’t be here until later.
I can always move it up if that’s easier, maybe like 5 PM to 11 PM if that’s easier.

That’s thing, if most of the Memphis scene shittalks and some do it for fun and others are serious and peer pressure comes full scale, it’s not exactly “helping” players, that is why I never see the purpose of it, but it’s from area to area, scene to scene. I’m sure there are shittalkers here in Mid TN somewhere but I haven’t come across any in Mid TN for SSF4 (unless you count the random “best on my block” guys that come in).

None of the shit talk in this Mem group is serious none of it. Mem is kind of like a family in that if you are getting shit and giving it you are “in”. If your not your prolly new. There were new cats in the ranbat on Wed. No one was behind new people trying to “slam” them. This is probably one of the most tight knit groups around especially considering how large its gotten. And some people like Woot just dont cause they dont want too and thats fine too. But he jokes back like how Squab couldn’t fathom he would beat Jas in Marvel lol.

This is pretty much spot on. In the beginning, we had 6-8 peeps who went out after every fight night for drinks. Now, we have to basically commandeer an entire section of a bar or restaurant after fight night. We had what? 18 people at Hueys this past Weds? Some of them brand new, like Dax and Locke. I mean we give Dax a hard time because he can’t go to bars, but everyone will not even consider leaving him behind after fight night. And Dax knows that. the first time he came out with us it was non-stop joking and shittalking. But he knew he was part of the scene now and no lie.
And even the guys that don’t come out after, like Bishop’s friend Chris, will be invited to gatherings and hostings. Or they become regular fixtures at fight night. Shit there were like 8 dudes this week I had no idea who they were, but they were playing in the ranbat, and I only knew that they had been attending for weeks now.
For how large our group has gotten in such a short time, I feel the same feeling of community I did back when it was a half-dozen dudes at the Fox. If we give you shit, we love you yes homo. And when Jas stands behind you and does commentary on your match, you know you are part of the crew.
Looks at Mavel win/loss record and reaffirms the conclusion would be inevitable.
