I mean, obviously the lag is not that “big” per say on the PS3 version. I can only imagine that EVO is still PS3 because they purchased ps3’s some time ago.
I guess what I am getting at is, I can hit all my links/combos/etc on ps3, walk over to a 360 and do them all the same! I have heard of a few people complaining, but the vast majority just plays. Again, I dont think there is a “huge” difference. Maybe you can say there is a “very SMALL difference” of input lag!
Well personally I can feel the difference playing on PS3 to 360. Could be more because I am not the best at super tight link combos but I def notice it and it takes time to adjust. Now if I have played on the system for an hour or so its back to normal but the diff is there.
I also feel like PS3 is the system of choice because for all the pad players the PS3 pad is much better than the 360 pad.
My philosophy on the matter is that the player will adjust eventually to the lag like people do playing online, but it just requires the 3 hours of practice or so to do it consistently which is annoying. Not a HUGE problem but it can be resolved really easily by just using 360’s.
I’d say the only reason that EVO series still uses PS3 is because of pad users and it’s compatibility with older sticks. I like using 360 more but it makes a lot of sense to be using PS3.

People still using PS2 sticks have the option of buying an Xconverter 360 (and inPIN for PS3). Anyone with a TE should get theirs dual modded if they’re serious about fighting games, and especially if they have custom-built sticks that they’ve already spent a ton of cash on…
That said there’s just some things that shouldn’t be played on 360 (Tekken), PS3 (SSF4), either 360 or PS3 (MvC2), or at all (BBCS). I’d honestly be shocked if the 2 frame input lag comes back in MvC3, though
Small lag or not the ps3 should always be the choice for the simple fact of pad players. Me personally i don’t give a damn for either since i can do the same shit on both versions but pad players do care because it’s a huge difference between a 360 pad and a ps3 pad. I think they should man the fuck up and just switch to stick lol but hey whatever floats your boat.
That logic could be applied the other way too though. Like why make accommodations for a pad player when you have to play an “inferior” version of the game? Plus the mad catz fight pads were awesome. I loved that thing before I switched to stick. I dont care too much either way. As long as I get some notice on what system the tourney will be on so I can practice.

And ps3/360 makes no damn difference. Do that shit on either one, shit run that shit on the NES for all i care. But it does seem like ps3 is the standard console for fighting games in tournaments now.

A hint, though: I’ve learned people hate ordering parts. For them it’s just more work that you should be doing. You can get around this by taking their sticks and asking for half up front and half on delivery (if not the whole amount up front, which I do for out of state orders). Then you can order parts.
