I still think Sakura suffers from the same problems…she’s always dangerous but nothing crazy or anything.
Gouken I don’t think goes up as much because the Counter move has to be done differently and can’t be spammed like before…I don’t think the other stuff he has makes up for anything to make him go up in tiers…the only thing about Rose that changed was her Ultra slightly, but doesn’t affect anything else…
Cammy I dropped from the top tier in the previous game but she still has a TON of priority up close and with stand Strong after dive kick…

Yea i agree you both make solid points. I don’t know what i was thinking anyways lol But yea a rr for all 5 spots sounds like a viable way to go and besides i’m making one of those spots haha! We need more drive and hungrier players here in memphis.
DIdn’t that 5 vs 5 people on team spot thing happen before KiT last year for Final Round and people had heart attacks because Eugene was on the team even after he had won 12+ tourneys?
Ok so i’m making my preparations myself for both final round and next month’s tourney. Hotel room for fr is already on lock and i pretty much have my way there covered so i guess all that’s left to do is to officially pre reg. I’m also working on buying a full 360 set up next month so i’ll be bringing that to our tourney here. Damn man the things we do for this fighting games lol
As far as Sakura was concerned, I thought with the majority of her bad match ups getting nerfed along with all the buffs she got she would be higher. But I don’t really know her in and out to be certain of anything.
Gouken I wasn’t really excited about him to begin with. More like hoping for old times sake. It’s like a little too late for these changes to really be worth it. If they’d done him like this out the gate in vanilla then maybe he’d have a chance in AE. If, but, only, maybe, ect… A shame really.:sad:

Just finished hosting. Had a turn out of six people and spiralbottom is the only one from the forums who made it LOL. Josh got sick and I hope he gets better soon. We only got to Marvel and SSF4 but there were lots of hilarious times and everyone leveled up. Knoxville scene could be interesting.
I said I was retired from traveling for tournaments :P. Not really afraid of losing majors since I’ve lost plenty already. Probably have been in more tournaments than most of Memphis combined. How many Evolution, B series and Japan tournaments have you been to? Just don’t have time/money/inclination to continue doing it. Part of growing up unfortunately. Honestly, if it wasn’t for a lot of the awesome people in this scene I wouldn’t even bother coming to play.
PS. I’m excited because it helps grow the local scene. I want it to grow and I fully expect (and hope) to have people in Memphis surpass me at some point since they are still keen on traveling to tournaments. I really don’t practice that much (ask anyone the last time they’ve seen me online playing SF4).
Evil Ryu plays like a bootleg Akuma and Oni plays like Gouken should have. I don’t know if its the Akuma fan in me but Oni looks (as far as gameplay goes) 10x more interesting and viable. Both do actually seem playable and they aren’t just joke characters. As Jacob mentioned, looks as if 2 slots remain and I’m pretty sure Capcom aren’t just leaving them empty. Any guesses on who it may be. My prediction:
Elena and R.Mika.
I find it hard to believe that the Africa stage is in this game for no reason and Troll-ono has always wanted R. Mika in there. Personally, I want another 3rd stike character (Urien or Alex) and Karin. I think Karin could do work in this Street Fighter system.
