I’m not liking all the news that’s coming out with Guile’s nerfs. I still think they nerfed him far more than he needed to be. I know he will still be a good character overall but giving him an overall damage nerf, making SH near useless as a choice now, and making his airthrow slower on top of that is a little much. I think I may just be switching to Bison full time just to have something new to do.
Does anybody who plays Bison have a compiled word document of all his stuff (i.e. matchups, move list, combos, etc.)?

I’d like to open with a question, if I may. What inspired the changes to Guile in Arcade Edition that is fixing to come out? Why did you decide to nerf his damage output and his moves in general?
Ooh, thats a great question Joker, I have the perfect answer. Cause fuck Guile, thats why. Deal with it.
Yeah but not as heavily as Guile and like I said I want to learn a new character. I’ve been using Guile since Vanilla and now that FADC Sonic Hurricane is out of the picture there is nothing really more to learn about the character outside of matchup knowledge. Time for a change and who better to switch to than my second favorite SF character.
The only other possibility would be if there are characters that will be unlocked through time that they haven’t announced. If it isn’t a charge character than I’m just not fuckin’ with it. Charge is too sexy.
Isn’t match up knowledge and nuance the “main” thing to learn about a char? And really I dont think his FADC ultra is going to be useless just a little less damage. Mind you its also mad early to really be worrying about nerf/buffs anyway.
I mean play who you like though its all good. At least you dont want to use Gen.
Edit: And if you have never played Bison in earlier versions he wont be nerfed of buffed to you he will just be Bison.
Thats alright man, you’re the only one going on about Guile changes being sucky or whatever in this thread lol. Several characters got nerfed man. Bison got nerfed, Guile got nerfed, Gief got a pseudo nerf, shit happens man, we deal with it and play the game. I could bitch about ex glove not knocking down all day if I wanted, but I just look at the bright side. It’s going to help me figure out better mixups with the character and not depend on green hand only to get in. Plus j.spd lol
you’re talking charge characters, try Honda or Balrog, but Guile getting nerfed isn’t going to affect anything, same with Bison and Gief. Guile players are still going to bitch while they win matches, SF players are going to piss and moan if their guy gets nerfed, and strut hot stuff if they get a buff. That’s just the way it works now apparently.
No Sev as in you can’t do the move at all anymore. Sonic Hurricane comes out too slow now making it impossible to early FK > SH, Super > SH, or FK > FADC > SH whatsoever. So there is nothing else to learn from the character besides me learning matchups in and out and not fucking up in said matchups. I have no such dreams of being a top player so I’m fine with moving on and learning another character whom I have trouble with anyways and I’m interest in learning.
Well , I see Rufus being abandoned after next week by a lot of people.
Why pick him when you can pick his (faster) counterparts.

All good bro, just saying you should stick with Guile and even through the “nerfs” you’ll still come out even better because you’ll be getting that hot ass matchup experience. Thats why I’ve gone to 13 different characters and always seem to make it back around to big daddy cool diesel gief. I just have more matchup experience with the guy.

Complaining about Guile FADC to U2 not coming out fast enough only makes sense if you can do it over 80 % of the time which is probably like 2 % of Guile players. I need to see this huge list of nerfs that I’m apparently not aware to make switching away from Guile make any sense
I will bet anyone any amount of money that Fei is going to be the best or second best character in AE, at least until/unless someone figures out something crazy with Yun or Yang.
I know, he deserved it, he is a zoning character that does awesome damage and is GREAT at zoning. In other news Hakan is super fun and I’m a Hakan super fan, seriously doing f+mp and F+hk into ultra 1 is one of the most fun things ever.
