I was actually considering a Flying Saucer tourney, but that locks out anyone below 21, lol. It was just a thought.

FYI: The next time we have a tournament in Memphis I’m volunteering to run the brackets. As you guys who have organized them know, it’s pretty much impossible to compete seriously in a tournament that you’re running. Since I don’t play SF and would likely be there anyway, it’s a win-win deal for you guys.

The only reason it was supported was because I had the $10 AE thing for December. The last 5 before that were NOT supported heavily at all. You know how many times Josh came from Knoxville for 11 and 12 man tournaments?

About MWC…it looks like I will be doing it in May or June (probably the later) because I have to figure out my lease renewal at the mall and all that and if you guys want to stream we have to “rent” internet or something because the internet in the mall is terrible.

Memphis tourneys sound like fun. Even if I totally wouldn’t enter, I’d help if there’s any needed. lol

My first tournament was a round-robin format in Framingham, MA with about 70 entrants. I think I imploded sometime during the first day. Multiple times.

Well, school is done and holidays are almost over. Next week, probably wednesday or thursday, I’ll be up at the arcade. Hopefully I’ll bring a few people. Boro people, do any of you want a ride down there?

10x: We’ve been playing Josh for almost a year, you are just finding out about this…Yes, he does have innate natural abilities but we have been playing with him for almost a year already, and while he does have to learn patience you can say that people can all be better based on the amount of time they have to play the game these days people have families, kids; etc…also, you played him in SSF4, something we all play, SSF4AE none of us know wtf is going on in that game right now, so many nuances so it’s hard to compare and contrast when as good as Josh is he does lose to people more in TN, though that number is very small…

Most of us agree he will eventually be better, but remember, it’s about reading your opponent as well, and that is something that you have to learn quick in tourney settings…and also, he is serious, he plays the game extensively, sometimes less than normal, sometimes more than normal but what is normal for one person is not normal for the other…

Actually it has been since May so 7 months. ;p

Regarding the stuff with Josh: He’s very good and defintley has to potential to surpass everyone in SF. As far as I know, the people in Knoxville who are on the forums don’t really meet in person. I think the guys who were doing Knoxfighters are beginning to meet again and I will be holding get togethers at my place in Knoxville starting next month (so one way or another he will have an opportunity to exchange loads of information and get offline practice with competent players). I hope Josh comes out because they are some players he has never met who are skilled with great attitudes but they never travel or sign up on forums.

This is VERY cool Aaron. He will be there anytime. Just let me know when and where. The fact is Josh needs more offline practice.

About Memphis tourneys: Lack of a venue is the current issue, if I’m not mistaken. We could do it at PP again, but that would likely mean having to pay a venue fee on top of pot money. Plus space issues and the fact that the tourneys get rowdy, which we’d have to tone waaay down to have it at a family-oriented store.

I’m thinking about running a fight night in Clarksville once a week out of the University Center at APSU. We’ve got about 11,000 students. There has to be at least a few per thousand that play Street Fighter and other games. I’ll definitely let them know about the Nash/Boro community as well. Let’s build this shit!
