Was talking to Phil about this and I like his/our approach. Since there won’t be a major in this game for a good while, I am gonna focus exclusively on learning Yang when I play AE. Then after FR I’ll get on it heavy and get a deep feel for Bipson’s and Cody’s changes.

YEah Chris, wasn’t your fault, but people kept texting me and we kept getting calls from the same people that were already told the game would be ready when it was. I’m actually shocked Rob got it up and running but the guts of my cabinets are completely changed because of the pwer these two things require…Hopefully this game stays up and running…
So far I’ve used a bunch of shit characters and I think I want to stay with learning the nuances of them before going to my mains as well…Hakan seems better now, but so does everyone else on the lower end…Hakan has to be relearned since his oil lasts so long and I have to figure out his new cancels with crouching Jab and crouching Short, but he’s definitely changed for the better.
Yang I’ve played against 4 people so far and I’m not sure what to think yet…I know the dive kicks are very easy to focus, so it’s the crouching short or combo capability from it that is key, but it is way easier to see coming than a Rufus dive kick…
Juri is way better…she actually feels like a real character because her pokes do more damage and have more Priority.
I guess in this game for the first week it shall be Hakan/Juri/Yang/Yun and maybe a bit of Dan and Zangief…

Yeah I feel you on the twins’ divekicks. Wonder if that air target combo with Yang will be able to gobble them up… We found out later that you can go right into ground chain with that (it was like that in 3S though too wasn’t it?), so later I was doing j. mk, dive kick target combo, cr. jab, st. jab, cr. mk, rekkas.
Also, he can link cr. jabs straight into cr. mk.
Back to the lab tomorrow folks…
Edit: Also JAson, I wanted to ask for future reference…is there a special way that thing needs to be turned off? I just hit the breakers today, but with that setup pulling so much power I wanted to make sure I was doing everything absolutely correct.

No, seriously. I have this thing about platformers. I can’t bring myself to give up on certain stages. Which often results in a lot of sadness and rage. I bet I have an ulcer.

Guile reports? Not that I’ve been playing nothing but Guile recently…or anything of the sort.
Bison doesn’t feel changed at all, everything that worked in Super works in AE minus a 3rd rep for scissor kick loops and an easy motion ultra.
Also, I forgot to take a picture of our list of people in line to play AE, Gdbell made his way into it.
Holy hell, I ran out of coolant and my car over heated, too me over two hours to get back to murfreesboro! GGs to everyone at Game Galaxy tonight though! Was glad I could be a part of it. Cammy feels a bit different in some spots, not being able to TKCS at all sucks but I’ll get use to it. Besides that I can’t quite put my finger on what exactly feels different. I know some normals were changed to make links easier, but I didn’t get many chances to try stuff out.
After a few plays, I prefer Yang’s play-style to Yun’s so far.
