When did it become taboo to post something to promote discussion, like a"tier list"? Just saying folks, its good to talk and debate about fighting games! Lol I think some guys are jumping the gun. No need to be dismissive or defensive.
On that note its interesting to see that beni is the “top tier” char of the moment. I remember bala saying he thought she was tops at least. Yhough has a beni team actually won anything of note? And ive seen some crazy leona play here and there.
Of course it is. Otherwise I was going to have to beat him in an arm wrestling FT10 to get KOF in. He scurrd.
I dont know but I think the issue is like people get too focused on tier lists and frame data and what “should work” and put less time in feeling the game out and trying stuff. Plus once a tier list gets out or whatever people tend to take it as gospel or get mind fucked if another person picks someone that is “tops”. As of right now this game isnt to the point of tiers really mattering. There is no AE Yun yet or hell even an arcade Raiden for example. I think discussion is great but whenever tiers get brought up usually the discussion doesn’t go anywhere. Its just people going back and forth especially this early in the games life.
Example look how low King is on that list and earlier today you thought she was BROKEN.
People also tend to look at frame data and say oh if this move isnt +50 on block and 1 frame start up it sucks and they avoid it. Gen in AE 2012 has all kinds move moves like this in and I found really good uses for most of them.
As for Beni I cant say if he is top or whatever but he seems really good. He has a great EX DP, a cmd grab, a hit anywhere on screen EX move that tracks, good dmg with or without bar, a nasty neo max and dirty tricks in HD mode. He controls space well and has easy style hit confirms too. Granted when I was messing with him I thought well based on his normals maybe he would have trouble vs hop pressure but Bishop sure didnt have that issue last night vs me. So I dont see a glaring weakness in him overall.

Im still not seeing why Beni is considered to be “that guy”. I agree with him being good, but everything he does can be done by other characters with more options. Both Ioris and Kyos come to mind.

I think more people in town need to pick a goal person to beat and then go for it. Mike just happens to be a target I guess. I think this is good as it will help people. I plan to eventually run sets vs you, Majin and Bishop for the same reason. You got to set goals to get better

my goal is to surpass sev and move on to the next higher ranked person which would be either bishop or majin, not sure who’s better of the two. I’m confident enough of my skills in that game right now to think i’m a level or 2 higher than everyone else, excluding sev,bishop,majin and marcus of course lol. I’m sure mike has something to say about that tho lol. I will have to play him again and beat him consistent before I can actually say i’m better than him especially if we play before he plays sev so he wont be mind fucked lol

I’m still working mostly on proper spacing,good punishes,bnbs,etc. I do have some good hd combos with both kyo and yuri, just haven’t started to implement them in battle yet since i’m trying to get acustomed to opening ppl up with both kyo and yuri. Don’t worry pretty soon you will be seeing me taking ppl from one side of the screen to the other in all it’s 1080p glory!
