SNK fucked up big time! They won’t let me put Kyo and EX Kyo on the SAME team. That ruins my day. Now I have to play around with punchy Kyo for the next 2 weeks at fight nights and gatherings before I decide to give them my $5 and put him on my final team instead of fireball Kyo.

Yea, I’m gonna try to play SF again. I just hate that I have to have someone coach me thru a match for me to do well. When I try to play w/o any help, its a nightmare for me.

Yea man I know. Its pretty tragic. Im about a 5x right now. I used to play football back on high school so I’m not used to being this out of shape. I have probably put on about 200lbs since high school (6 1/2 years ago). Tragic homie. But as Abe said, just about everybody here is pushing me to lose weight and get healthy so I can be around once Street Fighter V comes out lol. Really good support here especially from Abe, T, and Sev. Even Bishop has given words of encouragement.
I am actually about to drop a weight loss blog here soon. Once its up and running I will post it so people can follow and support, troll, hate…whatever you do best!

“Trolling”? I don’t know the meaning of the word. Sev, that hurts bro. There has been clear, consistent, FRYMike obliteration since the jump. Plus this is a 2D game and you are Abel of the south. It was bound to happen. Hey, we can do it anytime you come back and discuss details. Feb. 18 tourney is an ideal spot but I don’t want you to make my eyes water in front of company. Plus that team tourney stuff (if Bama shows) might take all the extra allotted time and shine. It can be before then or whenever the people want to see me lose. All I ask is that you spare me enough dough to be able to buy at least a hershey bar for Valentine’s Day.

I actually just read that last night after talking to Marcus about which Kyo is better. He says they are roughly the same with maybe regular Kyo being a LITTLE better. As for me, I would have to play with them myself for a certain amount of time to determine who is better.
@Sev: I feel like I should be able to take my training wheels off after the 3 months that yall thought me in SF and go into the wild and learn some things on my own. I guess what I want to do atm is learn at my own pace and not ask too many questions or try to cram every match up in my head. Learn one simple thing at a time.

Yeah man I actually like them not being whored out. Makes it more “exclusive.” To be honest, I think overall Broken Tier’s stuff is kind of overrated. I copped that one Yurple and Yellow “Tiger” joint at Season’s Beating’s for maximum hatred and because there is no sales tax in Ohio. But they just seem to rehash tired FG memes. Their designs are cool I guess and I respect them, just not my cup of tea.
I love Kineda’s stuff but they are hella overpriced. I only have their “World Warrior” tee. I’d break the bank to get the Bison variant of that joint tho.
Eternal Rival seems right up my alley. Good prices, sales, and cool/original designs.
I am just ready for Triumvir to return. They teased that Geisha collection they have coming. Looking forward to that and another Street Fighter collab. No lazy screenprints though…

Well everyone learns differently and at a different pace. Also keep in mind your playing with people here who have either been playing SF4 since it came out or have been playing FGs in general a lot longer than you. So the gap is wide at the start.
My advice try to focus on 1 thing in a match. Even if its something simple as I will AA every jump in. That sounds dumb but focusing on that will help make it second nature to you. So then you can move onto something else.
What did I tell you from the beginning? You are doing exactly what I did - trying to learn the game with one of the toughest to master but one of the best characters in Akuma (highest risk:reward ratio, 2nd lowest health). His hit confirms for REAL damage are tough and tight. You should try learning Ryu first. The thing about Akuma is you HAVE to know all his spacings for mixups … because if you mess up ONE time - the round could be over. With someone else like Ryu, you can afford to make a mistake or two (plus Ryu has easier links to get you more familiar and comfortable with hit confirming).
