Hey, tell Josh I said to kind of watch out for Wandles. He’s a solid Bama player that has come up to a few of our tourneys. Last I experienced, he used a Hulk team (the only other competent Hulk player I’ve faced besides myself. lol). I taught him lots of Hulk unblockables too using a low assist, so stay in the air.
Wandles also used X-23 and Iron Man. If X-23 kills a character or snaps someone in, he’ll use Dirt Nap (invisible level 3 grapple) while calling the Iron Man assist. THIS IS INESCAPABLE AND CHEAP! The weakness though is that X-23 has no health and Ironman is a crappy anchor.
Lastly, Wandles loves calling the Ironman assist while his Hulk is out, as it sets up plenty of command grab shenanigans. DON’T EVEN ATTEMPT TO STOP THIS BECAUSE HULK’S ST.H WILL PUNISH WHATEVER YOU DO! Dash backwards and super to punish Ironman. A strong move could be to snap out Hulk while snapping in Ironman. If you kill Ironman, you kill his best assist while making him use a very bad, slow anchor.
Again, this is assuming that Wandles still uses his Hulk/X-23/Ironman team. I played this guy in a tournament and lost to him because his team is unorthodox. After figuring out his strategy, I was beating him about 8-2.
No problem. If you’ve never fought a decent Hulk player, it’ll throw you for a loop. Dp Gamma Charge followup (he charges upwards, then diagonally downwards towards you) is +5 on block. Don’t press any buttons after this move. Advancing guard often to get him off of you.
I can’t remember your team, but I think you have one or two Hulk-killers. Magneto and Dante are his worst matchups, so if you use either of those characters, you’ll do fine. :tup:
Wow Lycan went in on fools besides Squab! Nigga came in smelling like Similac and baby goo and beasted on fools! lol And good stuff to Squab for beating Lycan! I know I give him a hard time, but all trolling aside, dude has leveled up major here with a mid-tier character no less. Man curse work for making me stay over!
Guilty Gear like chess? Lol, that game is good but it’s still FARRRRRRRRRRRRR from that type of game…there is still too many chain combos for it to be like that…and it is still very very execution heavy (ala Tekken)
The only fighting game series I can say is in the upper echelon of that type of “skill” would be Virtua Fighter…
Though I agree on everything else, lol…SF4 has changed the way “old” Street Fighter is played because of the reliance of option selects so now old people like me have to guess Rock/Paper/Scissors vs Rock/Paper/Scissors/Hulk Gamma charge/DFDF easy motion mashers/Eugene ZZZing
